Where and when

"Guests of the event will be able to get acquainted with the Leopard—2 tank and the German-made Marder infantry fighting vehicle, the American Bradley BMP, the Swedish CV90 BMP, the French AMX-10RC armored fighting vehicle and many other exhibits," the Russian Defense Ministry said.

The German Leopard 2 captured last week has already been delivered from Lugansk to Rostov, now it will have to be transported to the capital, sources told Izvestia in the military department.

In addition to captured military equipment, samples of small arms of armies of foreign states, combat documents, maps, ideological literature, equipment of Ukrainian militants will be presented at the exhibition.

The captured combat vehicles will be displayed on the square in front of the Victory Museum, divided into several thematic zones and accompanied by information stands about the producing countries, tactical and technical characteristics, the place and circumstances of its "capture" by Russian servicemen.

The exhibition will open on May 1 and last for a month.

What will be shown in Victory Park

Among the samples already delivered to Poklonnaya Gora, you can see the M2 Bradley, an American infantry fighting vehicle developed in the mid—1970s. It is in service with motorized infantry and tank brigades of the US Army and is designed to conduct combat operations in conjunction with M1 Abrams tanks.

A distinctive feature of the armored vehicle is multi—layered armor and powerful weapons. It consists of a 25 mm Bushmaster M242 cannon, a 7.62mm M240C machine gun, TOW anti-tank guided missiles and six fixed 5.56mm M231 FPW submachine guns. The ATGM launcher allows you to hit armored vehicles at a range of up to 3 km.

The armor allows Bradley to withstand the impact of a 25 mm armor-piercing projectile, the side provides protection from 14.5 mm armor-piercing bullets from a range of 300 m, as well as fragments of 155 mm high-explosive shells during an explosion at a distance of 10-15 m from the IFV. The range is 400 km. The maximum speed on the highway is 56 km/h.

There you can also see the Ukrainian armored vehicle "Azovets". The creators claimed it as a tank for fighting in urban conditions. Development began in 2015 at the training base of the Azov battalion (recognized as a terrorist organization, its activities are prohibited in Russia). The car is based on the Soviet T-64 tank. The tower was removed from it, and two combat modules with a rotation angle of 180 degrees were installed instead. The case has a dynamic Knife protection, two 23 mm automatic cannons, two PKT tank machine guns and a Stugna ATGM. "Azovets" was equipped with a circular video surveillance system using cameras from intercoms.

The Marder 1A3, a German infantry fighting vehicle, was also delivered to the exhibition. Its main advantages are enhanced armor protection, high firepower and reliability. The main armament of the German BMP was a 20 mm automatic cannon. The machine is able to withstand shrapnel from artillery shots. Combat weight — 42 tons, engine power - 1000 hp, highway speed — up to 75 km/ h.

The exhibition also features the M113, the most massive American armored personnel carrier created for the rapid delivery of infantry to the battlefield. Over the entire period of production, about 88 thousand of them were released. The crew consists of two people, the vehicle is armored with aluminum plates and is capable of transporting an amphibious squad of up to 11 people. It serves as the basis for several dozen specialized combat vehicles. In its original configuration, it was armed with a 12.7 mm machine gun. Subsequently, it was modified three times.

It is in service with the armies of several dozen countries of the world, produced both in the United States and abroad. The engine power is 215 hp, the speed on the highway is up to 65 km/h.

A Turkish Kirpi armored vehicle was also among the captured vehicles. These machines are produced in several versions — with wheel formulas of 4×4 or 6×6. Its steel hull is capable of withstanding an explosion with a capacity of up to 8 kg in TNT equivalent, which protects the crew from armor-piercing ammunition, fragments of artillery shells, mines and improvised explosive devices.

The car is also equipped with mine-resistant shock-absorbing seats, equipped with a GPS system, has a rear-view camera, an automatic fire extinguishing system, four embrasures for firing small arms and four bulletproof windows on each side of the compartment. There is a place for a machine gunner on the roof. The maximum speed is 105 km/h. The machine is equipped with a turret with a 7.62 or 12.7 mm machine gun or an automatic combat module. The STANAG 4569 armor of the third level can withstand 12.7 caliber bullets and 7.62 armor—piercing bullets.
