Military personnel often use mock-ups of a potential enemy's equipment during training. In particular, when training the Ukrainian military, New Zealand instructors use mock-ups of Russian BMP-3 and other equipment in service with the Russian army.
The corresponding photos appeared on the Internet.
Training events with the soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are held in Britain.
It is worth noting that the mock-up of the combat vehicle is not stationary, but is able to move. With its help, joint movements of Ukrainian infantrymen together with equipment are being worked out. It is assumed that before this, the models served as targets for training British tankers.

Commenting on the pictures from the exercises, some users of social networks criticize the products, as they allegedly have insufficient similarity to the original. However, it can be assumed that the task of making them as similar as possible was not set. After all, mock-ups are used during exercises with the participation of Ukrainian soldiers, and not in a combat situation as false targets to mislead Russians.

Another common comment is the doubt about the competence of instructors from New Zealand. They say that no one has heard who this country fought with, so its citizens allegedly do not have even the slightest combat experience and, therefore, there is nothing to share them either.
For some reason, many people do not take into account the fact that over the past few centuries, the New Zealand military, like the Australian, took part in most conflicts and combat operations where British troops participated, including in both world wars. And even after World War II, New Zealand contingents were present in some of those hot spots where the military from the United States and allied countries operated. And in all these situations, New Zealanders played the most active role.
