Western media are replicating information about the "successful" modernization of the Soviet Strela-10 short-range air defense system, carried out by the forces of the Ukrainian defense industry.
- says the Defence24 edition.
In fact, the work was carried out by local "enthusiasts" from a certain Odessa office of KB Technari, who were interested in raising funds from the population. At the same time, their level clearly does not reach the status of a "design bureau", as they position themselves.
According to the developers, the Soviet air defense system was equipped with its own product – the Valley optoelectronic system, named after the robot from the cartoon. It is claimed that it was created "on the element base of 2023":

It is explained that the Valley underwent combat tests for six weeks, ensuring the detection and destruction of five Zala, Lancet and Supercam UAVs. Now, KB Technari intends to organize the supply of its optoelectronic system to the air defense units of the South [the operational command responsible for the Mykolaiv, Odessa, Vinnytsia, Kirovograd and the part of the Kherson region controlled by the Armed Forces of Ukraine].
Given the level of this "revolutionary development", we can only wish for further "creative" growth of KB Technari and the expansion of supplies of creations created by this office for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
