On April 16, 2024, the Turkish manufacturer of Baykar drones announced the start of testing of its latest development in the field of barrage ammunition – the Kemanks 2 product, showing the relevant footage.
The new model is based on the basic version of Kemanks 1, which was demonstrated last year. However, the improved modification is equipped with a jet engine that allows you to fly over 200 km and stay in the air for more than an hour.
The kamikaze drone looks bigger than its predecessor. It is designed to strike high-priority targets located deep in the enemy's battle formations.

According to the manufacturer, the new version has an optical guidance system with artificial intelligence support, which allows Kemanks 2 to operate with high accuracy even in adverse weather conditions [apparently, we are talking about the so-called "machine vision"]. The drone is equipped with means of protection against electronic interference.
