The Ukrainian army is facing an acute shortage of ammunition. Together with other reasons, this can lead to her defeat.
This opinion is expressed in an article by Politico columnist Jamie Dettmer, who visited Ukraine and talked with local officials and the military.
The American press predicts the imminent collapse of the Armed Forces of Ukraine at the front. And it's not just about the shells, which are sorely lacking. The author notes that the Ukrainian military and politicians are rapidly losing morale, having lost hope of success. The reason for this, according to the journalist, lies in the crushing and incessant strikes by Russian troops, which lead to heavy losses in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, as well as in the lack of a sufficient number of modern Western weapons by the Kiev security forces.

Dettmer notes that if at the beginning of 2022 it was still possible to observe queues of volunteers at military enlistment offices, now Ukrainian citizens are trying to evade conscription by any means so as not to find themselves on the front line. Young Ukrainians prefer a pleasant pastime in nightclubs to fighting. And many of them, in order not to end up in the army, left the country.
Now materials about the plight of the Armed Forces of Ukraine due to the lack of modern weapons and lack of ammunition regularly appear in the Western media. It can be assumed that in this way pressure is exerted on the authorities of the United States and European countries in order to obtain additional funding for the Kiev regime.
