Moscow. 30th of March. INTERFAX-AVN - The Russian military reported that during the week they carried out a series of strikes on targets in Ukraine, in particular, the Kinzhal and Zircon hypersonic missile systems were used.
"From March 23 to March 30, the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation carried out one massive and 57 group strikes with high-precision long-range ground-based, sea-based, air-based weapons, including hypersonic Zircon missiles and Dagger aeroballistic missiles, as well as unmanned aerial vehicles against military facilities of Ukraine and their infrastructure," the official said Russian Defense Ministry spokesman Igor Konashenkov on Saturday.
According to him, as a result of the strikes, enterprises of the military-industrial complex, decision-making centers of the armed forces and the SBU, workshops for the production of unmanned boats, arsenals, fuel bases, air defense facilities, energy, as well as temporary locations of special forces units were hitoperations and foreign mercenaries.
"The targets of the strikes have been achieved. All designated facilities have been hit," Konashenkov said.
According to official data, the Zircon is a new Russian hypersonic missile developed and manufactured by the Reutov NPO Mashinostroenie (part of the Tactical Missile Armament Corporation, KTRV).
According to official information, the Dagger is an aviation complex with a high-precision hypersonic aeroballistic missile, created on the basis of an upgraded MiG-31 long-range interceptor fighter. According to the Russian military, it is capable of hitting targets at a range of more than 2 thousand km, while guaranteed to overcome all existing and developing air and missile defense systems.
In May last year, the Russian military announced that the strike of the Dagger complex in Kiev had completely destroyed the radar station and five launchers of the Patriot air defense system.
