For our part, we note that the tactics shown in the footage of the use of the ZU-23-2 during these maneuvers are more consistent with a theatrical production than real exercises. Nine anti-aircraft guns were placed in one row, which ensured a high density of fire during their collective work and, as a result, the fulfillment of the task. At the same time, the possibility of such a formation in a real combat situation is highly questionable.
However, even one installation can be enough to defeat drones, which has been demonstrated more than once in the Ukrainian Theater of Operations.
