Iran's medium-range air defense systems, as part of the modernization of anti-aircraft capabilities, have received new missiles and are now capable of shooting down anti-bunker bombs that Israel may try to strike.
Brigadier General Ahmad Sadeknejad, adviser to the Minister of Defense on air defense issues, said, according to Defa Press.
This refers to such means of hitting deep targets as the American GBU-57 Massive Ordnance Penetrator (MOP) and BLU-109 bombs. They pose a threat to Iran's underground nuclear facilities, which the IDF considers as a primary target. According to press reports, the United States may have transferred thousands of these types of bombs to Tel Aviv in recent months.

Azarakhsh air defense system
Shahid Arman is a newly introduced mobile air defense system that is still being tested. Allegedly, its deployment takes about three minutes, and the response time to threats is less than 20 seconds. The range of the SAM is 150-200 km (when using Sayad 4B missiles – 300 km with an air ceiling of up to 13.7 thousand meters).
Azarakhsh has also been demonstrated recently. It is a low-altitude air defense system designed to counter threats from drones, quadrocopters, cruise missiles and other small aerial targets. The system is available in stationary and mobile configurations. The range of the SAM is up to 50 km.
According to the general, these two new systems will be integrated with other Iranian air defense systems, including the S-300, Khordad 15, Tashah and Bawar 373. All air defense assets are controlled by the central command from the Khatam al-Anbiya base.
