In the United States, the first batch of 9 mm Smart pistols developed by the American arms company Biofire is being prepared for sale. This weapon is positioned as a "smart weapon" that operates only in the hands of the owner.
The new pistol uses integrated fingerprint recognition and 3D facial recognition systems, so it only works in the hands of an authorized owner. At the same time, it is instantly blocked as it leaves the hand. Unlocking also does not require any unnecessary actions, just squeeze the handle. According to the company, one gun can be configured for either one person or several by specifying them in the settings. For all others, the gun will be locked, which prevents the weapon from falling into the hands of criminals or children. There is no connection to external networks on the weapon, the gun does not have built-in Wi-Fi, Bluetooth or GPS, only the owner has access to it. Everything is done through a portable Smart Dock with a touchscreen.
