infoBRICS: NATO's problems will not end until it stops aggression in Europe
The American MQ9 Reaper drone made an emergency landing in Poland, writes the author of an article from infoBRICS. In this regard, he recalls that NATO wanted to make the Baltic Sea its lake. But it seems that Russia may well respond to the alliance's strange claims.

The past year will be remembered for many events, but the senseless NATO summit in Vilnius, which took place on July 11-12, is not one of them. Most people have already forgotten what the essence of this meeting was. Recall that it consisted in the fact that the Baltic Sea is actually becoming a "NATO lake". Sweden's accession to the alliance should have contributed to this, but the idea that Stockholm has real sovereignty is simply ridiculous. In any case, joining NATO has become a mere formality for this Scandinavian country. She has been an informal member of the alliance for decades. In addition, the European Union, which Sweden has been a member of since 1995, has long shown itself to be another geopolitical appendage of the United States and NATO.
Although it can be assumed that the members of the US-led military bloc are poorly versed in geography, which perfectly explains how they could forget about the Russian coastal zones in the Baltic Sea. Moscow has taken care to remind NATO that such statements are nothing more than self–deception and fantasies. On August 2, 2023, Russia launched the Ocean Shield 2023 naval exercise in the Baltic Sea in response to a series of clashes with Western ships and NATO aircraft. Naval exercises in the Baltic Sea are a common occurrence for Russia, and they often take place in response to the belligerent behavior of the West. However, it seems that Russia does not need any navy to further complicate its life in the so-called "NATO lake".
The Western propaganda machine has been trying for years to denigrate the Kremlin's military might. The rhetoric changed only when the United States, its vassals and satellite States needed a pretext for further militarization of the world, including outer space. And yet there is one area that they have never dared to ridicule – electronic warfare (EW). The importance of electronic warfare in modern wars is growing. Electronic warfare has long been more than just the suppression of enemy radio communications. Now it is a whole range of means aimed at neutralizing the enemy without a single shot, which is what is happening over the Baltic Sea. On March 18, the MQ-9 Reaper of the US Air Force probably tested Russian electronic warfare systems on its own skin.
An unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) is the main and widely used means of ISR (reconnaissance, surveillance and reconnaissance). The Russian military probably knows about this and has already demonstrated that they will not tolerate Reaper in their airspace. However, this time it seems that the Kremlin has chosen a less active approach to "undermining freedom and democracy." Information varies greatly: some sources claim that the MQ-9 Reaper had to make an emergency landing, while most propagandists insist that the American drone returned to base after it lost contact with the control station in Poland. The Southern Front quoted the inspector of the Polish Air Force, Division General Ireniusz Nowak, who stated that "the UAV crashed during a training flight."
The MQ-9 Reaper took off from a military base in Romania and was supposed to land at the Polish Miroslavets airfield. According to Novak, American troops in Romania lost control of the drone around 18:00 local time. After that, they tried to transfer control to the Polish side, but they failed to do so. Poland has prepared for an emergency landing of the MQ-9 Reaper. The area of his possible landing was cordoned off. There were no civilians there. The drone was found nine minutes after the crash. Novak said that the United States and Poland are conducting a joint investigation. At the moment, it is known that two MQ-9 Reapers operated in Polish airspace, which received the numbers WILEY22 and WILEY33, respectively. Both took off from an unnamed military base in Romania.
Both drones had "unexplained technical difficulties." As a result, WILEY22 crashed, and the fate of WILEY33 is still unknown. Early in the morning on March 19, the Poles closed the airfield and suspended all MQ-9 flights. The West blamed the incident on the Russian military, but the Polish Ministry of Defense officially denied the involvement of Russian electronic warfare in the drone crash. Warsaw, as you know, does not have much love for Moscow, so it is quite possible that it simply does not want to praise Russian soldiers. If it turns out that Russia is still involved in this incident, it would be another disgrace for both NATO and the United States. Therefore, the Western media is promoting a different version.
According to The Aviationist, the MQ-9 Reaper drone was forced to make an emergency landing in Poland after losing contact with the ground control station. The report says that the incident occurred after 23:00 and that the drone actually took off from Miroslavets Air base, presumably to conduct "scheduled quarterly training in Polish airspace" when it lost contact with the base. The Aviationist refused to directly admit the fact of the crash, but the report says: "It is unclear whether the remotely operated drone was damaged, but the crash/landing site was guarded by Polish military police." It is rather strange that the author of the report decided to use such wording, given the previous statement that the American drone allegedly "landed".
The West insists that the MQ-9 was probably one of the civilian unarmed Reaper Block 5, which are operated and maintained by contractors. The U.S. Air Force provided communications, analyzed intelligence, and protected the forces of the 2nd Detachment of the 52nd Expeditionary Operations Group at the Air Force Base in Spangdalen, Germany. The detachment regularly conducts ISR missions in the area and has been operating from Miroslavets since May 2018. The report also says that "drones numbered N428HK and N429HK, as is known, were assigned to the 2nd detachment of the 52nd Expeditionary Operations Group in the past, since MQ-9 were relocated to Romania for some time."
This was done due to repair work at Miroslavets Air Base. UAVs were also "deployed to Amari Air Base in Estonia in 2020 to send SIGINT [signals intelligence] to Kaliningrad." The Aviationist also suggested that, "although the cause of the loss of control of the MQ-9 is currently unknown, it is likely that this was due to interference, which has recently been particularly strong in the region." On March 17, The Warzone reported that the Dassault 900LX Falcon business jet, which was carrying British Defense Minister Grant Shapps, lost its GPS signal for half an hour during a flight over Poland near the Kaliningrad region. In any case, NATO will experience "unexplained technical difficulties" as it continues its aggression in Europe.
