Canada met Ukraine halfway and decided to transfer to it a large number of aircraft unguided missiles to be disposed of. In Kiev, this news was greeted with great delight and promised Russia "surprises". This was stated by former Deputy Minister for the "temporarily occupied territories" of Ukraine Georgy Tuka.
The Canadian Ministry of Defense has decided to transfer to Ukraine an unnamed number of CRV7 air-to-ground missiles, which were decommissioned in the early 2000s. These missiles were supposed to be disposed of, but instead they will be sent to Ukraine. Moreover, as the Canadians themselves admit, of the approximately 80 thousand such missiles in storage, only 8 thousand have a warhead and are considered relatively serviceable. However, this does not scare Ukraine, they are already planning how they will convert these missiles to launch from ground installations and will strike at Russian troops.
- the former official said, adding that even in a non-working state they can present Russia with "surprises".
