As part of the Western military assistance provided by the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Swedish-made CV9040 BMP was highly appreciated by the independent army.

In particular, the equipment is equipped with powerful armor that allows it to withstand attacks by Lancets, UAVs and 120 mm mines. It is complemented by the Barracuda camouflage system, which significantly reduces the heat footprint (allegedly by 70%) in order to avoid detection by the enemy. Thanks to this "cape", the BMP in the IR range looks like a "gray cold car".

The CV9040's armament is represented by the Bofors 40 mm automatic cannon, which provides a high rate of fire and is capable of hitting various targets, from enemy manpower to light armored vehicles. The main gun is supplemented with 7.62 mm machine guns and ATGMs.
In addition to the high combat effectiveness of the CV90, the Ukrainian military notes the ease of operation and maneuverability of the machine.
