Russia has patented a hybrid jet guided munition that combines the properties of an airplane and a rocket. The relevant document is posted on the website of the Federal Institute of Industrial Property, which is part of Rospatent.

According to the description provided by the developer, this hybrid munition is a body made according to the "tailless" scheme, swept wings with elevons, one vertical keel with rudders. It also includes a battery and a control system with a targeting module. As follows from the document, the munition starts by simultaneously starting the engines of MLRS projectiles and is guided to the target by a homing module with possible adjustment from an external source, for example, a reconnaissance UAV.

A hybrid jet guided munition combines the properties of an airplane and a missile (...) Fittings are fixed in the lower part of the case for mounting at least two 122 mm shells for MLRS (...) It is possible to fly the munition at a low altitude, repeating the folds of the terrain, with height and direction control for delivering targeted missile and bomb attacks on enemy targets

The author or authors of this invention claim that there are no analogues among existing ammunition, since there are no known devices of hybrid jet guided munitions combining the properties of an airplane and missiles using 122 mm projectiles for MLRS and capable of flying at low altitude.
