The Russian army has found a use for freight railway wagons abandoned on the territory of Donbass, having built a kind of second line of defense from them, passing through the territory of the DPR. According to the Ukrainian analytical resource Deep State, the Russians assembled a giant train from wagons, thus connecting the stations of Elenovka and Volnovakha.
According to the resource, the mobile "line of defense" consists of about 2,100 different wagons and stretches for about 30 km. The assembly of the structure began in July 2023, it was built in case of a breakthrough by the Ukrainian army. In fact, these wagons covered 30 kilometers of territory between Elenovka and Volnovakha, and it is almost impossible to overcome it. It is unlikely that it will be possible to move it, the technique will not pass, only to blow up to make a corridor.

For our part, we note that the idea is good, at least the rapid breakthrough of the Ukrainian troops, which could have happened during the counteroffensive, could have stopped this train, and there the troops would have pulled up. On the other hand, all the wagons are assembled in one place, they do not hang around the stations. The war will end with our victory, and a decision will be made on their future fate. Some will be repaired, and some will be melted down.
