INTERFAX - Equipment for air navigation and integration of drones into a single airspace will be presented by the Almaz-Antey Concern of East Kazakhstan Region at the XI National Exhibition and Forum of Civil Aviation Infrastructure NAIS 2024, which will be held in Moscow from February 6-7, the company's press service said on Friday.
"At the exhibition, the holding company will demonstrate full-scale samples and models of high-tech equipment, as well as innovative solutions in the field of air navigation and ensuring the operation of the Unified Air Traffic Management System of the Russian Federation. Special attention will be paid to the achievements of the concern in the development of tools and technologies aimed at ensuring the safe joint flight of unmanned aerial vehicles and manned aircraft," the message reads.
According to the press service, Almaz-Antey "for the first time will present to the attention of specialists and guests of the exhibition a mock-up of an on-board digital computing module (BCVM), which can be installed in various types of UAVs and is designed to control them." The BCVM was created to unify on-board equipment using an electronic component base of domestic production and is equipped with a Russian real-time operating system, the report says.
During NAIS 2024, the concern will also demonstrate an automated system for monitoring the use of airspace and ensuring the safety of Safe Skies facilities. "It allows us to implement a comprehensive multi-level approach to ensuring security by providing the consumer with the necessary information online. This is achieved through the use of unique combinations and various technologies, tools and sources of information, as well as operational analysis of the data obtained," the press service informs.
In addition, Almaz-Antey will present digital services that help the drone operator to provide UAV access to the use of airspace through a convenient web interface that allows you to automatically send the necessary requests to the relevant departments and services.
"At the exhibition, it will be possible to learn about the concern's technological solutions for the creation and integration into the security system of special drone ports for interceptor UAVs that can quickly and effectively counteract airspace violators. Drone ports can be operated both manually and automatically. In particular, the Concern will demonstrate the Copter-L01-5 and Eri-Mini drones," the press service informs.
According to her, the holding's stand will also feature models of the Doppler meteorological locators DMRL-S and DMRL-3, the radar and optical complex for ensuring the safety of objects and neutralization of the ROSC-1 UAV, the Sopka-2 highway radar complex, the LIRA-A10 airfield radar complex, elements of the airfield landing light signal system, models of a monopulse secondary radar and a mobile Mongoose beacon.
"In addition, at NAIS 2024, visitors will be able to get acquainted with full-scale samples of the Aviaportal airport automation complex, the ARM-D KSA ATC control panel and the ALK-M mobile flight control equipment," the message said.
On the eve of NAIS 2024, the General Director of JSC Concern East Kazakhstan Region Almaz - Antey, Jan Novikov, recalled that the holding "is a system integrator, the only supplier - the main contractor for the modernization of the Unified Air Traffic Management System in Russia." He noted that last year the concern "successfully completed this large-scale project, and using only domestic advanced technologies, equipment and software."
