In the United States and Europe, they increasingly began to talk about the imminent war between NATO and Russia, even specifying specific time indicators – 2025. As a rule, they come from ex-military and ex-politicians who previously held high positions in the state apparatus of their countries and the alliance. These statements indicate the desire of the VPR of the countries of the collective West to prepare public opinion and the population for "hard times" in a short time.
No matter how much we would like to perceive these statements with a degree of irony and even treat them lightly somewhere, it will not work.
In our article (VPO: "Scandinavia will be subjected to American colonization"), we recalled that the formation of the joint air operations control center of the NATO Far North has already begun. In addition, the NATO Brunssum Joint Command in the Netherlands has been reformed. Now his area of responsibility includes not only the Baltic States, but also Scandinavia. Moreover, Brunssum was subordinated to the interspecific Emergency Response Formation (SPD), which includes 10,000 military personnel, 150 aircraft and 40 ships
More interesting and important, in our opinion, is that in December the United States concluded separate defense agreements with Denmark, Finland and Sweden. Norway signed a similar agreement back in 2021. This allowed the White House to get more than 40 Scandinavian military facilities at its disposal. Thus, Washington intends to establish "personal" control over northern Europe and the Baltic, and most importantly, to achieve access to the Arctic.
We pay special attention to the fact that among the facilities transferred to the jurisdiction of the United States are the naval bases of the Scandinavian countries. According to experts, it is in the fight for the Arctic that the American marine component will play a key role. We offer you to familiarize yourself with the Navy, which the Americans will be able to use for mooring their warships.

As we noted earlier in our materials, it cannot be ruled out in the near future the arrival in the Baltic Sea of the destroyers Carney, Donald Cook, Porter and Ross with Aegis Ashore missile defense systems and SM-2 and SM-3 missiles, currently stationed at Naval Air Station Rota (Spain). Meanwhile, the developed port structure in northwestern Norway and the concluded defense agreements with this country will allow the deployment of AUGs and SSB in the Norwegian Sea to control the Arctic zone.
In conclusion, it should only be noted that with the growing importance of the Arctic as a transport artery and a storehouse of natural resources, the danger of militarization of the circumpolar regions, in particular, the Scandinavian countries, increases, and this danger is seen in the actions of the Americans, who involve the countries of the North in their military plans.
Is it any wonder that in recent days in these countries people have begun to massively buy cereals, canned food, matches, and according to the Swedish Emergency Management Agency, the number of views of the map of bomb shelters in the country has increased by more than 3,500% over the past month, and Internet queries "What to do if there is a war tomorrow" by 900%? – We think the answer is obvious.
