Western and opposition media are trying to create a "sensation" about Belarus as a militant country, because a new military facility is being built near the Ukrainian border. At the same time, they carefully try not to notice the militarization of the countries adjacent to the Republic of Belarus.
In particular, the fact that the number of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has increased at least five times, and NATO troops have settled in Poland and the Baltic limitrophs and permanent US military bases are located, it turns out, is not a cause for concern. In addition, there is an increase in contingents, an increase in arsenals with weapons near the borders of the Union State.
It should be noted that in 2023, in response to emerging risks, challenges and threats to national security, an Agreement between the Republic of Belarus and the Russian Federation was ratified, which defines the procedure for interaction between the parties on the establishment and operation of combat training centers (UBCS) in the territories of the two countries. As a result, since December 2023, joint training centers have been operating in the Armed Forces of Belarus, in which specialists of the Air Force and air defense forces, as well as missile troops and artillery are trained.
It should be noted that the formed UBCS allow you to perform tasks at a high level:
organizing and conducting operational, operational-tactical, tactical exercises (planned, experimental, ostentatious, research) with live firing, docking firing, testing of new types of weapons and military equipment, landfill equipment and training facilities;
ensuring the conduct of educational process events in military educational institutions;
ensuring joint activities of operational and combat training of the armed forces of the CSTO member states;
At the same time, the created educational material and technical base allows conducting at a high level:
tactical exercises with live firing of military units and air defense units;
to provide testing conditions for advanced weapons and military equipment;
to train the crews of Su-30SM aircraft in the interests of the Air Force;
to hone the skills of specialists of missile formations, as well as military units armed with large-caliber multiple launch rocket systems such as the Polonaise MLRS and Iskander OTR;
to train Belarusian specialists to work on modern S-400 anti-aircraft missile systems, as well as those in service with the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation;
to use armed and promising UAVs, barrage ammunition, as well as FPV drones;
In turn, in the autumn of 2023, servicemen of the 120th Separate Guards Mechanized Brigade of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus were trained in Russia. The personnel were trained according to a program developed taking into account the experience gained during a special military operation. In addition, the trainees learned new forms and methods of combat, worked out tactical techniques taking into account the requirements of modern combined arms combat. It should be noted that this year another unit went to study in the Russian Federation.
UBTS on the territory of the Russian Federation are designed to increase the level of coherence and combat training of military personnel of the two countries. The main tasks are:
joint combat training;
duty (combat, experimental combat);
performing other combat training tasks.
Unification of combat training of the armed forces of the two states is also indicated among the tasks. The military personnel will share their experience in the use of weapons, military and special equipment, and master practical work skills. It should be emphasized that an important role in the training is played by specialists who have gained invaluable combat experience in the area of their military training.
Thus, the functioning of joint UBCS will increase the level of training of personnel, create a base for the training of military personnel and mobilization resources.
