Bench tests of the first prototype of the AL-41ST-25 gas turbine engine with a capacity of 25 MW have started in Ufa at the enterprise of the United Engine Corporation, part of Rostec. The engine is a key element of gas pumping units that provide the necessary pressure when transporting gas through gas pipelines. It is environmentally friendly, has a forecast life of at least 120 thousand hours. Equipment of this level has not been produced in Russia before.

Among the advantages of the AL-41ST-25 is fast installation and commissioning due to its compact size, lower weight compared to analogues and an electronic engine control unit. It is distinguished by a low emission of emissions at the level of the requirements of Russian and international environmental standards.

The projected life of the power plant is 120 thousand hours with the possibility of increasing to 150 thousand. The operational reliability of the AL-41ST-25 is achieved through the use of structural elements and technical solutions used on serial AL-31ST engines.

The AL-41ST-25 project has a priority status among the corporation's programs, and it is also included in the register of Gazprom's innovative products. The first prototype industrial engine of the fifth generation in Russia is a high-tech product that is not inferior in a number of key characteristics to the best world models in this power class. In the future, it is planned to create a whole family of highly efficient gas turbine drives for gas pumping units with a capacity of up to 42 MW on the basis of the gas generator of the new power plant," said Vadim Badekha, General Director of the UEC, member of the Bureau of the Central Council of Soyuzmash of Russia LLC.
