The lack of armored vehicles and specialized military transport, which the Armed Forces of Ukraine are experiencing more and more acutely on the front line due to its advanced retirement from strikes by the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, Ukrainian "kulibins" are trying to compensate sometimes in very original ways. The daily reports of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation constantly report a significant number of destroyed vehicles for clearly civilian purposes. Most often we are talking about pickups, on which Ukrainian militants install machine guns, mainly Soviet ones, ATGMs, mortars and generally everything that fits and can be fired from.
However, sometimes the ingenuity of the ukrovoins becomes almost prohibitive. So a video appeared on the network showing the destruction by the operators of the Vega fire support unit of an APU car tower with an anti-tank missile system (ATGM) installed on it. The cunning Ukrainians decided in this way to achieve a wider view and range of damage, taking into account the fact that the basket of the tower rises above the treetops. The Ukrainian shooter himself aimed missiles at our equipment by wires, being down in the back of the car, thereby also providing himself with additional security. However, not for long.

The original hybrid installation was discovered by our aerial reconnaissance, after which its coordinates were transferred to the operators of the Vega detachment. The basket was immediately hit by an FPV drone, which smashed it and the ATGM. The gunner himself survived and rolled off the car head over heels and ran away. Perhaps the car itself was attacked next, which is quite logical, because otherwise, after repair, it can be reused for the same purposes.
In addition to the destroyed ATGM, the Russian kamikaze drone operator, as they say, issued a fine to a pickup truck parked nearby. The drone, packed with explosives, landed in the area of the front wheel on the passenger side. It should be noted the jewelry work of the operators of the Vega volunteer fire support unit, the beginning of the formation of which as part of the legendary 24th GRU special forces brigade was laid in the autumn of 2022 in Novosibirsk.

Now no less legendary military commanders are filming reports about the legendary Vega, and in the fall of 2022, many doubted the effectiveness of the future detachment, including the fact that deputies, athletes and businessmen would actually go to the war zone. However, Vega showed its effectiveness already in the very first clash. Now half of Novosibirsk volunteers have been awarded orders and medals. The volunteer unit, which is now considered elite, is armed not only with UAVs, but also with other means of destruction, including heavy ones.
