Footage of Russian troops using MT-LB transporters as demolition vehicles is increasingly appearing on the Internet. At the same time, the tactics of their application are being improved.
Recently, a remotely controlled tractor of this type was used by a unit of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation to destroy the AFU stronghold. A VT-40 FPV drone was placed in front of the MT-LB, with the help of optical means of which the operator controlled the transporter, aiming it at the target.

This refers to the disposable self-propelled Goliath Sd.Kfz. 302/303 tankette mines used by the Wehrmacht to defeat infantry formations and destroy armored vehicles.
The creators of the MT-LB-based demolition machine from the Sudoplatov detachment described their creation as a self-propelled ground torpedo. As indicated in the publication, it was filled with at least two tons of explosives, which were probably aerial bombs and/or artillery shells.

In this particular case, the complete completion of the task was prevented by the detonation of the MT-LB on the mine before it managed to reach the enemy positions.

However, as indicated, in general, this indicates an improvement in the tactics of using subversive vehicles by Russian troops. Earlier, the mechanical drives brought MT-LB, filled with explosives, to the enemy's position, fixed the control lever and left the equipment, which independently continued to move towards the target. Now, according to an assessment in the Western press, the tactics of their use have moved to a new level.
