The night version of the Gastello drone is being tested
It became known that a night modification of the Russian kamikaze drone "Gastello" was successfully tested in one of the areas of the SVO.
In the development of this variation of Gastello, which received a night camera with a highly sensitive matrix, the wishes of military drone operators working in the area of their own were taken into account. Now fighters will be able to use copters more effectively on identified targets, even at night. The night version of the Gastello without the use of a repeater is capable of stable operation at a distance of up to 7 kilometers, and the combat load of the drone reaches 3 kilograms.

The standard version of the Gastello has been available since the end of summer this year . During its development, the experience of the participants of the SVO was widely used, obtained by using various unmanned aerial vehicles of the FPV class — that is, controlled using glasses or a helmet and a monitor. The copter was named in honor of Nikolai Gastello, a WWII pilot who directed his damaged and burning DB-3F at a column of enemy equipment and for which he later received the honorary title of Hero of the Soviet Union.
