TSAMTO, December 1st. On December 1, a thematic conference call with the leadership of the Armed Forces was held at the National Defense Management Center of the Russian Federation under the leadership of the head of the military department, Army General Sergei Shoigu.
Below, the main theses of Sergei Shoigu's opening speech at the meeting are presented in the presentation of the Department of Information and Mass Communications of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.
Opening the meeting, the Minister of Defense informed the participants about the progress of the special military operation.
"The total mobilization in Ukraine, the supply of Western weapons and the deployment of strategic reserves by the Ukrainian command did not change the situation on the battlefield. These desperate actions only increased the number of casualties in the units of the armed forces of Ukraine," said Army General Sergei Shoigu.
The Defense Minister added that in six months of the so-called counteroffensive, the enemy lost over 125 thousand people and 16 thousand units of various weapons.
Groups of Russian troops inflict effective and powerful fire damage on the Armed Forces of Ukraine. As a result, their combat capabilities are significantly reduced.
"Our military personnel act competently and decisively, occupy a more advantageous position, expand control zones in all directions," the head of the Russian military department noted.
Over the past month, units of the 810th Marine Brigade, the 150th Motorized Rifle Division, the 4th, 15th, 114th and 123rd Motorized Rifle brigades have distinguished themselves during the fighting.
"We will continue to conduct active defense, build up the combat potential of the Armed Forces, taking into account the experience of a special military operation," Army General Sergei Shoigu said.

Continuing the conference call, the Minister of Defense recalled that today, December 1, a new academic year begins in the Armed Forces, which was preceded by thorough preliminary work, including training camps and methodical classes.
As the head of the military department stressed, in 2024, the main efforts are planned to focus on training troops to solve the tasks of a special operation.
Seven modern landfills are being equipped in the special military operation zone, two of which have been fully completed. Additional training sessions were conducted with the personnel of the landfills, which will improve the efficiency and safety of the operation of the educational and methodological base.
As part of combat training, a number of exercises are scheduled to be held during the year. About 20 of them involve units of foreign states, including four within the framework of the CSTO and the SCO.
The final one will be the strategic command and staff exercise "Ocean-2024" involving all types of Armed Forces.
"The implementation of a set of combat training measures will ensure the fulfillment of tasks to protect national interests and timely response to changes in the military-political situation," Sergei Shoigu said.

Turning to the thematic agenda of the meeting, the head of the military department raised the issue of creating a space system for all-weather remote sensing of the Earth.
The S.A.Lavochkin Scientific and Production Association is working on the creation of this system, which will allow obtaining images of the area regardless of weather conditions and illumination.
Such high-resolution images are planned to be used in the interests of the Armed Forces.
Further, the Minister of Defense proposed to discuss what the enterprises of the United Aircraft Corporation are doing to repay overdue receivables.
"Over 230 contracts have been signed with the organizations of this joint-stock company for the construction, modernization and maintenance of aircraft equipment. At the same time, there are accounts receivable for 23 of them. During the current year, it was reduced by 85%," the head of the military department said.
The next question concerned the state of accidents on vehicles in the Armed Forces.
Sergei Shoigu said that reducing the number of accidents on the roads and the severity of their consequences remains a priority for all military authorities, especially in conditions of increasing traffic intensity associated with a special military operation.
This year, 107 preventive measures aimed at preventing road accidents have been carried out.
In order to ensure the safe movement of motor vehicles, the military police carried out more than 25 thousand escorts of military convoys, of which 40% were in the zone of a special military operation.
About 500 thousand vehicles have been checked on public roads. This made it possible to identify more than 73 thousand violations.
Eight military automobile inspections have been formed in the new regions of the Russian Federation, which ensure road safety in the conditions of a special operation.
"Today we will summarize the results of the work on the prevention of road accidents in the military," the Russian Defense Minister said.
