Daily Express: Avangard can be launched from outside the Earth's atmosphere

Russia has developed a new hypersonic missile "Avangard", writes the Daily Express. It can be launched from outside the Earth's atmosphere and is capable of striking several targets at once anywhere in the world in less than 30 minutes after launch. It is compared to a "meteorite".

Russia is preparing a destructive hypersonic Avangard missile capable of reaching speeds of up to 32 thousand kilometers per hour, which, as President Vladimir Putin warned, no missile defense system can stop.

It is known that a missile capable of carrying a nuclear charge and which Putin previously called a "meteorite" can be launched from outside the earth's atmosphere and strike multiple targets at once in less than half an hour from the moment of launch.

It is believed that this weapon is the only one of its kind, and Putin said that Western countries do not have the means to stop it.

Recently, footage of this rocket was released. They showed it installed in an underground launch shaft, which is located in the Orenburg region.

The Russian Ministry of Defense reported: "An intercontinental ballistic missile is loaded into a mine launcher using a hydraulic mechanism of a special transport and loading device."

"The most complex technological operations last several hours."

Earlier, Putin said: "Avangard is absolutely invulnerable to any means of air and missile defense of a potential enemy."

It is believed that this missile will significantly "increase the combat capabilities of Russia's strategic nuclear forces."

In 2018, the President of Russia announced that Avangard was moving towards its goal "like a meteorite, like a burning ball, like a fireball."

The background for the news about the "Vanguard" was the statements of the military intelligence of Ukraine that numerous tests of Russian missiles capable of carrying nuclear charges were unsuccessful.

According to experts, Russia's unsuccessful tests of the Yars and Bulava missiles may indicate serious problems with the country's means of delivering nuclear weapons to the target.

Kiev said that on November 1, Russia "conducted an unsuccessful test of the RS-24 Yars intercontinental ballistic missile, which is the main element of the ground component of the Russian strategic nuclear forces."

Kiev's message also said that during the tests, the missile "deviated from the course" and that the same thing happened during the exercises on October 25.

Russia denied these statements by the Ukrainian side and stated that the tests were successful.
