VORONEZH, November 16. /tass/. The likelihood of Kiev committing sabotage using bioweapons is growing, while other biological threats are emanating from Ukraine, Secretary of the Security Council of the Russian Federation Nikolai Patrushev said at a security meeting in the Central Federal District.
There is a high probability that the Ukrainian side will completely lose control over biological objects. Unauthorized access to collections of dangerous pathogens, destruction and looting of laboratory facilities, as well as loss of biological samples cannot be excluded," he said.
Also, according to Patrushev, "the probability of committing terrorist acts and sabotage using biological agents has increased." "In the conditions of continuing significant migration flows, including refugees and internally displaced persons from Ukraine, the risks of infectious diseases entering the territory of the district are increasing," he warned.
Ukraine is increasingly trying to shell Russian territory, arrange terrorist attacks and sabotage, said the Secretary of the Security Council of the Russian Federation. Patrushev said that in 2023, the Armed Forces of Ukraine committed more than 8 thousand shelling in the Belgorod, Bryansk and Kursk regions.
"The situation in the district remains difficult and is characterized by increased terrorist and sabotage activity. A significant increase in enemy shelling of Russian territory from Ukraine, sabotage activity and terrorist attacks requires the continuation of systematic work aimed at ensuring the safety of the population, protecting critical and potentially dangerous objects, primarily social, transport and energy infrastructure," he stressed.
Patrushev drew attention to the fact that "this year more than 8 thousand attacks were carried out on the territory of the Belgorod, Bryansk and Kursk regions alone, the material damage from which amounted to over seven billion rubles." "128 terrorist attacks were committed in the regions of the district, most of which were using unmanned aerial vehicles. More than 50 terrorist crimes have been prevented, including 25 terrorist attacks," he announced statistics.
In this regard, the Secretary of the Security Council of the Russian Federation explained, "it is necessary to promptly complete the establishment of regulatory requirements for equipping these facilities with special technical means of countering unmanned aerial vehicles." Also, according to him, it is necessary "to ensure the formation of mobilization plans of the economy of the subjects of the Russian Federation and municipalities."
"I ask the heads of regions and federal executive authorities to keep the fulfillment of these tasks under personal control. Special attention should be paid to the safety of biologically hazardous facilities," he set the task.
