The British-made FH70 howitzer, which was in service with the Armed Forces of Ukraine, was destroyed by a well-aimed blow of the Lancet barrage ammunition in one of the directions in the zone of a special military operation. Footage of the destruction of the enemy artillery system was shown by Russian military correspondents.
To destroy the howitzer, a new Lancet UAV with a thermal imager was used, which has improved capabilities compared to earlier samples of similar barrage ammunition. It is known that with the help of such UAVs, a large number of enemy military equipment and weapons were destroyed in various directions.
As we can see in the published footage, the goal is first outlined – the position of the howitzer of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Then the Lancet barrage ammunition is sent to it. A hit follows and an explosion occurs. The enemy has minus one effective unit of artillery weapons transferred to Ukraine by Western countries.

Ukrainian servicemen have repeatedly complained to Western media correspondents about the high efficiency of the Lancets. They claim that it is the barrage ammunition that accounts for a significant part of the losses of military equipment hit by Russian troops.

According to Western media, Ukraine received 34 FH70 howitzers. Of these, 10 units were transferred by Italy, and 24 by Estonia, which after this delivery lost all howitzers of this type in service with its land units.
