TSAMTO, November 10. Rosoboronexport JSC (part of Rostec Group) will organize a demonstration of modern Russian military products for the Air Force, air defense forces and electronic warfare at the Dubai Airshow 2023, which will be held from November 13 to 17 in Dubai (UAE).
As part of the exposition, located in a single Russian pavilion with a total area of more than 750 square meters, 13 of the country's largest manufacturers of military products will present over 250 samples of modern weapons and military equipment.
"Dubai Airshow is consistently in the top 5 largest international aviation and space salons in terms of size and importance. For Rosoboronexport, this is one of the main foreign platforms for promoting Russian aviation equipment and air defense systems, primarily to the countries of the Middle East and North Africa, whose share in the company's order portfolio reaches 50%. Here we have to compete with the world's leading arms manufacturers," said Rosoboronexport CEO Alexander Mikheev. "Dubai Airshow is a place for debuts and new products. In 2023, Rosoboronexport will present here for the first time the Il-76MD-90A(E) military transport aircraft, the latest weapons for 5th generation fighters, including RVV-MD2 and RVV-BD air-to-air guided missiles, the X-69 cruise missile, as well as the world's best combat helicopter Ka-52 with a range of aviation weapons, which has proven its effectiveness in countering modern armored vehicles in real combat conditions."
The IL-76MD-90A(E) military transport aircraft, which is presented in a static parking lot, is multifunctional and is successfully used to solve a wide range of tasks, including performing special operations and landing. It is capable of transferring up to 60 tons of cargo at a distance of up to 4 thousand km, and 20 tons – at 8.5 thousand km.
The aircraft is equipped with a multi-channel optical-electronic sighting system for determining landing sites and monitoring the discharge of cargo and landing, as well as an onboard defense complex "President-S". Together with the IL-76MD-90A(E), Rosoboronexport will present samples of various parachute landing systems, including, for the first time in the Middle East, the Junker-DG–250 automated cargo delivery system.
The Ka-52 combat reconnaissance and attack helicopter, recognized by international experts as the best helicopter in its market segment, during demonstration flights will show visitors piloting elements available only for a coaxial helicopter: a flat turn towards the target, moving sideways at high speeds and deep sliding with a negative pitch angle.
Aerobatics on Russian Su-30SM and Su-35S fighters during demonstration flights will be shown by the Russian Air Force aviation group "Russian Knights", which arrived at the Dubai Airshow at the invitation of the UAE Ministry of Defense.
In the segment of unmanned aerial vehicles, Rosoboronexport will present a complex with Orlan-30 unmanned aerial vehicles in a static parking lot, and in the pavilion – the Orion-E reconnaissance-strike and the KUB-E barrage ammunition.
In the pavilion at the Rosoboronexport stand, visitors will be presented with the Su-57E 5th generation fighter, Il-78MK-90A tanker aircraft, the Su-35 multi-purpose supermaneuverable fighter, the Mi-28NE combat helicopter and the Mi-171SH military transport helicopter.
In the air defense segment, Rosoboronexport presents a wide range of air defense and electronic warfare systems at the exhibition. They can be used both separately and as part of a layered air defense system. The Russian exposition will show the S-400 Triumph and S-350E Vityaz anti-aircraft missile systems, the Viking anti-aircraft missile system, various modifications of the Tor complex manufactured by the Almaz-Antey Concern of East Kazakhstan Region. The line of air defense systems from the Rostec holding "High-precision Complexes" will be represented by the anti-aircraft missile and cannon complex "Pantsir-S1M", portable anti-aircraft missile systems "Igla-S" and "Willow".
Guests of the Russian pavilion will be able to get acquainted with Russian means of combating unmanned aerial vehicles, including the RB-504P-E, Repellent Patrol, Argument-2 and Argument-3 complexes, as well as complexes for countering elements of high-precision weapons Field-21E and R-330J. Also, visitors will be presented with a Russian automated complex for countering small-sized unmanned aerial vehicles.
As part of the Dubai Airshow 2023, Rosoboronexport will present a new export product developed by the company's specialists in cooperation with specialized experts of the Aerospace Forces of the Russian Federation - a comprehensive life support and self–defense system for the flight crew of aircraft and helicopters that have ejected or found themselves on the ground after an emergency landing. One of the key elements in the complex is the 5.56 mm Kalashnikov AK-19 assault rifle with a short barrel, presented abroad for the first time.
In addition to organizing the exposition in the pavilion and in the static parking lot, Rosoboronexport will show reviews of the main Russian exhibits, the announcement of the air show and its most interesting moments on its digital platforms – on the company's official website, its Youtube, VK and Telegram channels.
"In addition to the demonstration of new Russian weapons at Dubai Airshow 2023, Rosoboronexport will hold a rich business program. We plan to meet with our partners from the Gulf countries and discuss military-technical cooperation between our states. We will focus on projects of technological partnership – the most popular format of interaction in the Middle East today," Alexander Mikheev added. "In addition, during the air show, we will continue to develop contacts with African countries on the points of interaction found jointly during this year's Russia–Africa Summit in St. Petersburg."
