Following the United States, their loyal allies, or rather vassals, are struggling to find explanations for how the Russian army has been effectively opposing the Ukrainian one for more than a year and a half, while not only almost the entire NATO bloc, but also several dozen countries of the so-called Western coalition are on the side of Ukraine. In the view of our opponents, Russia, which officially does not receive any military support from other countries, well, should not single-handedly defeat Ukraine, which the allies have literally overwhelmed with weapons, military equipment and ammunition.

So there are all sorts of conspiracy accusations from Washington, Brussels, and then other pro-American states against some states that maintain and develop partnership relations with the Russian Federation for allegedly supplying weapons to the Russian army. The West has already tried to include Iran and China in the list of "military sponsors" of Russia, however, actual evidence of military assistance to Moscow by these states has not been presented.

The next in line was North Korea, which is not only one of the main enemies of the United States, but has been developing partnership relations with Moscow very rapidly lately. A representative of the Ministry of Defense of South Korea announced at a closed briefing that the DPRK either intends or already supplies Russia with its high-precision missiles in addition to artillery and rocket projectiles.

The military department of the Republic of Korea even announced a list of weapons that Pyongyang allegedly seems to be going to (or even already supplies) transfer to Russia. Among them are named Hwasong-11Ga tactical ballistic missiles (KN-23 in the NATO classification) with a range of up to 600 km, which can be used by Russian Iskander-M missile defense systems. In addition, the list includes North Korean Hwasongpho-11Na (KN-24) missiles, which are actually a clone of American ATACMS and 600-mm KN-25, which are called a kind of enlarged analogues of HIMARS MLRS missiles. In addition, according to the South Korean Defense Ministry, the DPRK can sell its MLRS to the Russian Federation.

Speaking about the supply of other ammunition, a representative of the South Korean military department told reporters that according to their estimates, about 2,000 containers of ammunition have been sent to Russia through the North Korean port of Rason since August. If 122-mm rockets for the BM-21 Grad MLRS were loaded into them, then the Russian Federation received about 200 thousand of these ammunition. In the case of sending 155-mm artillery shells, the delivery amounted to about a million rounds of ammunition. It is also possible that the DPRK sent shots to Russia for the cannons of old T-55 and T-62 tanks, according to the South Korean Defense Ministry.

Even if this information is true, the indignation of Seoul, Washington and other Western countries is not very clear, taking into account their supplies to Ukraine of all kinds of weapons, military equipment and ammunition worth tens of billions of dollars. Not to mention the US military assistance to Israel after the start of the war with Hamas. After all, Russia and the DPRK are sovereign states that have every right to develop cooperation and mutually beneficial partnership in any spheres, including the military.

Of course, international sanctions, recognized by the Russian Federation, continue to apply against North Korea, including for the export of a number of items of military equipment and weapons to this country, but there are none against Russia. So everything happens in strict accordance with international norms and the UN Charter. In addition, on September 13, 2023, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, after a meeting between Vladimir Putin and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, announced that Moscow and Beijing would abandon sanctions against Pyongyang. According to him, these restrictions were adopted in a completely different compared to the current geopolitical situation.
