Over the past week, the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation have carried out 15 strikes with precision weapons and UAVs on airfields, production sites of drones and unmanned boats. For the first time since August, targets in Western Ukraine were massively hit — in particular, at the Yavoriv training ground. The Armed Forces of the Russian Federation are constantly changing directions so that the enemy cannot maneuver their few air defense systems, experts say. And on November 2, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu presented Russian servicemen with the highest state awards — Gold Star medals.
Regular strikes
From October 28 to November 3, the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation carried out 15 group strikes with precision weapons and unmanned aerial vehicles, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation reported.
— As a result of the strikes, hangars for preparing Ukrainian aircraft for departure, production sites for unmanned aerial vehicles and unmanned boats, groups of foreign instructors and mercenaries were destroyed, — said the official representative of the Russian Defense Ministry, Lieutenant General Igor Konashenkov.
According to Izvestia sources familiar with the situation, on November 3, the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation inflicted massive strikes on Ukrainian military, industrial facilities, as well as on the locations of personnel. For the first time since August, targets in Western Ukraine were massively hit. Traditionally, "Geraniums" and "Iskanders" were used. Several launches of cruise missiles from the Su-34 were also noted.

In Western Ukraine, the Yavorovsky landfill was badly hit. The places where the newly mobilized lived were amazed there. Several more locations with personnel in other parts of the country have been knocked out. Several energy facilities were hit in the Kharkiv region. Well, traditionally, the blow fell on several airfields.
There is no special task to hit Western Ukraine — we are destroying important targets from a military point of view, military expert Vladislav Shurygin told Izvestia.
— The Armed Forces of the Russian Federation systematically inflict such strikes, — he clarified. — They always hit the identified targets. There could be, for example, weapons depots or deployment centers of Ukrainian units in the places of strikes. In this case, they worked on them. Our fighters are constantly changing the direction of strikes so that Ukraine could not normally maneuver its air defense systems, of which it has few.
New "Golden Stars"
Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu presented the highest state awards — Gold Star medals and nominal weapons to Russian servicemen who showed courage and heroism in the area of the SVO, the military department reported on November 3.

— The exploits of many of you have been seen not only by the whole country, but also by almost half the world. I congratulate you on these high awards," the head of the military department said.
The title of Hero of Russia was awarded to Colonel Ivan Kleshcherev, commander of a motorized rifle regiment. He personally led an assault squad to conduct a counterattack, as a result of which the enemy lost 11 tanks, 10 infantry fighting vehicles and more than 170 militants.
— This award is not only mine, it belongs to my units, my team and is deserved by common efforts, common successes, — said Ivan Kleshcherev.
In addition, the title of Hero of Russia was awarded to Colonel Roman Fedorov, commander of a motorized rifle brigade. Thanks to him, engineering barriers and fire ambushes were competently exposed, with the help of which more than 20 attacks of the VFU were repelled.
Also, the Gold Star medal was awarded to Sergeant Yuri Shcherbakov, commander of the anti-tank guided missile squad. He destroyed nine tanks, four armored personnel carriers, 12 infantry fighting vehicles, four trucks with ammunition, two platoon strongholds and more than 100 Ukrainian militants.

Attacks are repelled
In the Kupyansk direction, units of the Western Group of Troops repelled 24 enemy counterattacks. Air strikes and artillery fire affected the manpower and equipment of three VFU brigades in the areas of Sinkovka, Ivanovka, Timkovka, Kharkiv region and Makeyevka in the LPR.
In the Krasnolimansky direction, the group of troops "Center" repulsed 20 attacks by assault detachments of three mechanized brigades of the VFU in the areas of the settlements of Vodiane, Leninskoe Yampolovka.
In the Donetsk direction, units of the Southern Group of Troops repelled six attacks and defeated units of three brigades of the VFU near Kurdyumovka, Kleshcheyevka and Maryinka.

In the South Donets direction, Russian units repelled four attacks by assault detachments of the VFU mechanized brigade and the terroboron brigade in the Vodiane and Staromayorsky districts.
In the Zaporozhye direction, our units repelled eight attacks by the mechanized and jaeger brigade of the VFU in the areas of Verbovoye and Rabodino.
Constantly on the move
Kirill Olkov, a military correspondent of Izvestia, visited the positions of our servicemen and learned how the crews of the CBT "Solntsepek" work in the SVO zone.
— The main targets are enemy fortified areas, accumulations of manpower, ammunition depots, fuel and lubricants. We work constantly, often after dark," said the commander of a heavy flamethrower system with the call sign Bely.

The footage provided by the servicemen shows how 220-millimeter shells hit enemy positions. It is because of the destructive power of the "Sunbeams" that have become the number one target for the armed formations of Ukraine — they are being hunted.

10 planes and a helicopter were shot down
From October 28 to November 3, 27, in the special operation zone, Russian troops destroyed up to 5,435 militants and 379 pieces of equipment, including tanks, howitzers, self-propelled guns and armored vehicles.
The Russian Aerospace Forces and air defense systems shot down 10 aircraft of the Ukrainian Air Force and one helicopter during the week, including: five Mig-29, three Su-27, one Su-25 attack aircraft, one L-39 combat training aircraft, as well as a Mi-8 helicopter. In addition, four ATACMS tactical missiles were intercepted.

During the week, 28 Ukrainian servicemen voluntarily surrendered to Russian troops. Only on November 1, 15 servicemen voluntarily surrendered to one of the units of the Vostok group of troops, who refused to follow the orders of their command.
