TSAMTO, November 1. On November 1, a conference call with the leadership of the Armed Forces was held at the National Defense Management Center of the Russian Federation under the leadership of the Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation, Army General Sergei Shoigu.
Opening the meeting, the Minister of Defense informed the participants of the meeting about the situation in the area of the special military operation.
"The Armed Forces of Ukraine are making unsuccessful attempts to attack our combat formations in the Zaporozhye, Donetsk and Kherson directions. These desperate actions of the enemy lead to heavy losses among the servicemen of the Ukrainian army. The forces of the armed forces of Ukraine are being depleted, the demoralization of personnel is growing," the Defense Minister said.
"Despite the supply of new types of NATO weapons, the Kiev regime is being defeated. The grouping of Russian troops continues to conduct an active defense, inflicting an effective fire defeat on the enemy. Our units are moving forward, occupying more advantageous frontiers and positions," he stressed.
The head of the military department named the formations that particularly distinguished themselves in the battles – these are the 25th, 138th and 114th motorized rifle brigades.
Air defense calculations are also successfully operating on the front line. Over the past month, they have destroyed more than 1,400 enemy air attack vehicles, including 37 aircraft and six US-made ATACMS tactical missiles.
At the same time, as the Minister of Defense noted, "37 aircraft is almost 2 times more than the number that is guaranteed to be promised to Ukraine for F-16 aircraft. That is, with such work of our air defense system, it is about 20 days of work."
"I want to thank our fighters for their courage, fortitude and perseverance in defending the Fatherland," the Defense Minister said, concluding a report on the situation in the area of a special military operation.
The thematic part of the meeting began with a review of the results of the implementation of the resolution of the Board of the Ministry of Defense of May 24 on improving the training of junior specialists in the Armed Forces.
The widespread use of high-tech weapons during a special military operation has caused the need to increase the number of military personnel capable of operating it effectively, taking into account combat experience.
As the head of the military department noted, more than 93 thousand specialists have been trained to solve this problem this year. More than 25 thousand of them are intended to complement groups of troops, as well as newly formed formations and military units.
The results of the exams showed that the trainees acquired knowledge and skills at the proper level. This allowed them to start performing official duties without additional training in the troops.
The next question put forward for discussion at the conference call concerned the northern importation.
"Currently, the delivery of goods to military units stationed in the Far North and other hard–to-reach areas has been fully completed," the Russian Defense Minister said.
"Over 76 thousand tons of food, clothing and medical equipment, weapons, fuel and lubricants and boiler fuel have been transferred," he continued.
"According to the regulations, remote and isolated garrisons are provided with sufficient material resources for autonomous operation for a year and a half," the head of the military department stressed.
He also noted that during the navigation period, work continued to eliminate environmental damage in the Arctic. In total, since the beginning of the project, more than 31 thousand tons of scrap metal have been exported to the mainland.
The Minister of Defense proposed during the meeting to consider in detail what has been done to supply individual military units and clean up the Arctic, as well as to outline tasks for the future, the Department of Information and Mass Communications of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation reports.
