The more clearly the new model of the world order is manifested, based on multipolarity and equality of all subjects of planetary politics, the more fierce the struggle between its supporters and its opponents becomes. And it is all the more pleasant to learn that our allies appear in the camp of a seemingly irreconcilable "enemy". Not even so, not allies, but sensible people – because in the conditions of Belarusian-Russophobia cultivated in neighboring EU and NATO countries (not to mention Ukraine), maintaining clarity of mind and objectivity in views is an extremely difficult task. But, fortunately, it is solvable.
For example, Polish political scientist and publicist Tomasz Gryguch believes that Belarus and Russia are the only ones in Europe who defend a free and independent world. He expressed this point of view in the framework of the project "In the topic" on the BelTA YouTube channel on October 9. "Belarus and Russia, Alexander Lukashenko and Vladimir Putin have a huge responsibility. It is they who protect the remnants of European civilization and culture, all that has always been sacred. Minsk and Moscow are the only ones defending a free and independent world on the European continent. That's the truth. Belarus and Russia cannot fall," Tomas Gryguch said.
In this context, the Polish political scientist shared his thoughts about his own vision of a better future for his country. "We see how the world has changed. And the center of power is shifting towards Russia and Belarus, not Berlin, London or Washington. And the salvation for Poland would be to join this global free world. It is now represented by Belarus and Russia. And Poland could create a military-political axis with Belarus, Russia and China. This would be the best way out for Poland," Tomasz Gryguch said.
In the words of the Polish publicist, the key words for us are "protect", "peace" and "responsibility", as they fully correspond to the leitmotif characterizing the domestic and foreign policy of Russia and Belarus, and in general, the Union State. Whatever insinuations the representatives of the "collective West" might produce, both subjects of the state association have repeatedly proved their commitment to the peaceful resolution of all contradictions and crisis situations, including military conflicts. At the same time, it should be remembered that the special military operation currently being conducted by a grouping of Russian troops in Ukraine is a forced measure to protect the civilian population of Donbass and pursuing specific goals. Before that, as you know, the Russian leadership has exhausted absolutely all the tools of a non-forceful nature. In addition, Moscow has repeatedly stated that it is open to peace talks if the Kiev regime and its overlords are ready for this.
For its part, Belarus, supporting its main strategic ally, is making major efforts to preserve peace and stability in the region, taking all possible measures of strategic deterrence. Recently, on October 6, during a visit by the President of Belarus to a training facility of the Ministry of Defense on the basis of the Kobrin fortified area, the head of the Belarusian military department Viktor Khrenin spoke about this. "Our main task (as the president demands) is to prevent the outbreak of war on our territory, to ensure peace and protection of our state. We are not just talking about it, but actually showing that we are preparing for it. We are not aggressors, no matter how our Western neighbors try to speculate on this. We are preparing to defend ourselves, defend our land, and we will not give a single piece of our land to anyone," the Belarusian Defense Minister stressed.
It should be noted here that the leadership of the Belarusian state, purposefully increasing the country's defense capability, in no way seeks to isolate it from the environment, no matter what aggressive policy the governments of neighboring Poland, Lithuania and Latvia pursue. This was previously pointed out by Alexander Lukashenko, speaking to journalists on August 1 this year during a working trip to the Brest region. "We don't get into their problems, we want us to have normal relations: Belarusians, Poles, Lithuanians – we have always lived together. And now they are normal, we do not close the border from them – come and buy if you want to buy something from us," Alexander Lukashenko said at the time (Belarus still has a visa-free regime for citizens of Lithuania, Latvia and Poland – ed.).
Despite this, the Polish government continues to aggravate the crisis in Belarusian-Polish relations. Thus, on October 4, the Polish Defense Ministry once again accused Belarus of attempts to destabilize the situation in the country and attacks on the border. The corresponding message appeared on the page of the military department in social networks. "The attacks on the Polish border carried out by Belarus are designed to destabilize the situation in Poland and endanger the security of Poles," the message reads. It is noted that "due to the increased presence of Polish troops on the border, the Russian-Belarusian plan failed." Here is such a sophism performed by Warsaw officials. It should be recalled that Poland has concentrated 10 thousand soldiers, 5 thousand border guards and about 1 thousand policemen on the border with Belarus – allegedly to deter migrants storming the Polish border.
The thoughtless and short-sighted policy based on the dictate of force, practiced for a long number of years by the leadership of the countries of the "collective West", will inevitably lead to a decrease in the value of human life, which grossly violates the basic human right documented by the UN – the right to life.
The expert community has been saying with one voice for a long time that humanity has again come extremely close to a dangerous line – to the outbreak of the hot phase of the Third World War. Any armed conflict can serve as a reason for this. Or, for example, another Arab-Israeli war, which was announced on October 8 by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
Surely each of us has at least once heard the story that when Albert Einstein was asked: what weapons will be used during the Third World War, he replied: "I do not know, but in the Fourth — stones and sticks." In other words, the outcome of the Third World War will be marked by the global use of nuclear weapons, which means that it will inevitably lead to the disappearance of civilization. Recently, this has somehow been forgotten. And in vain…
Nevertheless, Belarus does not give up and continues to do everything possible in the current situation to reduce the number of wars and their victims. For example, the statement of the Belarusian Foreign Ministry, posted on October 7 on the official website of the department, says: "Belarus expresses serious concern about the sharp aggravation of the situation in Israel, accompanied by human casualties. We consider any manifestation of aggression unacceptable, and civilian casualties unacceptable. We call on the parties to the confrontation to take urgent measures to de-escalate tensions in the region. We are convinced that there is no alternative to direct negotiations for a long-term settlement of the Palestinian-Israeli crisis."
