TSAMTO, October 6. The Tactical Missile Armament Corporation (KTRV, a member of Soyuzmash of Russia), fulfilling the instructions of Russian President Vladimir Putin and Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu, has significantly increased the production of high-precision aviation weapons within the framework of the State Budget.
The visit of the head of the Russian military department, Sergei Shoigu, to the KTRV head site in Korolev near Moscow at the end of September came at a turning point during a special military operation. Today, the role of the "long arm", VKS aviation, has significantly increased, using an increasing number of high-precision aviation missiles for various purposes, as well as adjustable aerial bombs. Both missiles and bombs are supplied to the Russian Army by the Corporation's enterprises, which are increasing the production of these munitions on a weekly basis.
Director General of KTRV Boris Obnosov reported to the head of the Russian Defense Ministry on the implementation of his March order to increase the production of aviation weapons twice. At the same time, Boris Obnosov noted, in some positions over the past six months, output volumes have increased 3.5, or even 5 times. The most advanced models of air-to-air, air-to-surface, and air-to-radar missiles have been put into mass production. The missiles of the coastal missile systems "Bal" and "Bastion" have been improved and can now hit targets on land. Taking into account the experience of the SVO, the necessary changes and additions are being made to the design of the corrected bombs, missile armament is being modernized. Therefore, missile starvation does not threaten the Russian Armed Forces, the head of the Corporation stressed in an interview on the sidelines of the Army-2023 forum.
The achievements of all the collectives of the Corporation's enterprises are highly appreciated by the Russian military Department. The Minister of Defense highlighted the advanced positions of the association.
"The first and foremost positions are occupied by the TRV Corporation. To date, our joint work is yielding results – we also have an increase in production, not in percentages, but in times. And all this is in great demand in our special military operation zone," Sergei Shoigu stressed.
Boris Obnosov noted in his report that such impressive successes were achieved due to the modernization of production, an increase in the number of personnel, an increase in labor productivity and the transition to a 24/7 work schedule. The head of the Corporation said that specialists from other cooperative enterprises with relevant specialized education were additionally involved, the work of design teams is focused on the operational development and modernization of high-precision weapons, personnel services have intensified work with local educational institutions, with the training center of the Corporation.
It is worth noting that the advanced positions of the Tactical Missile Armament Corporation in the world of high-precision weapons, a powerful research and design school, modern high-tech production, a unique laboratory and bench base – all this did not appear "out of nowhere". All this is the result of constant, painstaking work to restore the country's military–industrial complex, which was almost destroyed in the last decade of the last century. The corporation became the "first shot" in the cage of powerful Russian defense industry associations. The shot turned out to be successful thanks to the state policy that Vladimir Putin began to build, who already in the early 2000s spoke about the return of Russia to the status of a great power, which requires a powerful army and navy. And this requires the development, modernization, and somewhere a complete restructuring of defense enterprises. At the same time, the head of state has always stressed the importance of working with people, creating comfortable and reliable working conditions for them, providing them with all the necessary social guarantees.
By the Decree of the President of the Russian Federation in 2002, the Tactical Missile Armament Corporation was established as part of six enterprises, including the main enterprise in Korolev. It was headed by Boris Obnosov.
In one of the articles of that time, the head of KTRV wrote: "... the creation of the Corporation reflects the policy pursued under the leadership of the President of the Russian Federation to strengthen state regulation in the most important areas ensuring the country's military security. Thanks to this, positive trends have emerged in the domestic military-industrial complex, characterizing the beginning of the way out of the severe crisis of the 90s ...".
The further development of the Corporation showed the correctness of the strategic line of the President of Russia on the revival of the country as a whole and the "defense industry" in particular, as well as the realism of the ambitious plans of the KTRV leadership to optimize the structure, technological re-equipment and modernization of enterprises, to restore and develop the domestic design school of precision weapons. A separate point of the program was to increase the attractiveness of each of the enterprises of the association in the labor market.
Today, the Corporation is four dozen leading enterprises for the development and creation of high–precision weapons for the Russian Armed Forces. The corporation is a world leader in the creation of tactical air missiles, torpedo and mine weapons, coastal missile systems, hypersonic systems.
The volume of sales of products over the past 20 years has increased almost 54 times, net profit – almost 70 times, average salary – almost 10 times. Labor productivity approached 5.3 million rubles/year per person, which is a very good indicator for the industrial sector. Investments in the reconstruction and modernization of enterprises in the last five years alone have exceeded 80 billion rubles, of which more than 60 billion rubles are the Corporation's own funds.
KTRV can be proud of its social support program for employees. Annual investments in this area exceed 1.2 billion rubles. This includes medical care, including sanatorium treatment, support for veterans and pensioners, sports and cultural events, children's competitions, youth policy, housing program. Since 2008, employees of enterprises have been able to purchase almost three thousand apartments at prices significantly below market prices.
KTRV has been training its specialists since school. HR services have established career guidance work. There is an active cooperation with vocational schools. Enterprises support specialized departments at universities and institutes in their regions, patronize schools and gymnasiums. The Corporation has "own" departments in federal universities – in MAI, Bauman Moscow State Technical University.
Boris Obnosov, in his interview for the anniversary of the Corporation in 2022, said the following about its development:
"... Summing up two decades of our activity, I would like to note that the Tactical Missile Armament Corporation has become a prominent player in the global precision weapons market and the main developer of such systems for the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation...Further development of the Corporation will be subordinated to the main goal – equipping the Russian army with advanced high-precision weapons. In general, it is very pleasant that by the anniversary the Corporation's staff received a large number of congratulations – from the heads of federal authorities, organizations, enterprises involved in industrial cooperation. Our team was congratulated by Russian President Vladimir Putin and awarded the honorary badge of the Russian Federation "For Success in Work". This is a high assessment of our contribution to the creation of new special equipment and strengthening the country's defense capability."
