The Ukrainian Air Forces have published footage showing the process of training the AFU pilots to pilot American F-16 fighters.
The training shown by the AFU command is attended by pilots who remained in Ukraine and apparently do not meet the selection criteria for a trip to the United States, who, in their free time from combat missions, have to get acquainted with the F-16 cockpit in virtual reality and in computer simulation to perform joint missions as part of a pair, a flight, a squadron of American fighters. The computer program used for training Ukrainian pilots simulates the territory of Ukraine.

It is assumed that the first Ukrainian pilots sent to the United States for F-16 piloting training will complete training by the end of this year. According to the director of the Air Forces of the National Guard of the United States, Michael Lo, currently Ukrainian pilots are taking accelerated English courses, after which, in October, it is planned to begin their training directly in piloting.
The training of Ukrainian military pilots in the United States is planned to be carried out in an extremely short time and completed by the end of this year. Thus, Ukrainian pilots are given no more than three months to master fundamentally new combat vehicles for them.
However, based on the fact that, as is known, F-16s require about 16 hours of maintenance in the hangar for every hour the car is in the air, difficulties may arise with the training of technical personnel, which may be more difficult than the training of pilots.
