TSAMTO, September 27. The Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation, Army General Sergei Shoigu, checked the progress of the state defense order (GOZ) at one of the enterprises of the Tactical Missile Armament Corporation (KTRV) in the Moscow region.
Sergei Shoigu, together with the governor of the Moscow region Andrey Vorobyov, inspected the production workshops of the enterprise and the technological process of assembling high-precision weapons.
The head of the corporation, Boris Obnosov, reported to Army General Sergei Shoigu on the implementation of the instructions of the Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation to increase the pace of production, which were given following an inspection in March 2023. Over the past six months, the volume of production of high–precision weapons has been doubled, and for certain product ranges - 3.5 and 5 times.
The volume of product output has increased due to the modernization of production, an increase in the number of personnel, an increase in labor productivity and the transition to a 24/7 work schedule. The head of the corporation said that specialists from other cooperative enterprises with relevant specialized education were additionally involved: "people come here from Orenburg, from Perm. We are working very closely with local educational institutions: with technical schools, with the corporation's training center. We have recently taken 40 graduates from there."
The management of the corporation presented to the Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation the latest models of weapons launched into mass production, obtained as part of the operational development and modernization of high–precision weapons," the Ministry of Defense noted.
Following the results of the work, the head of the Russian military department held a meeting with the participation of the company's management and relevant military authorities. During the meeting, the Russian Defense Minister heard a report by Boris Obnosov, General Director of the corporation, on the progress of the project to create a highly mobile multiple launch rocket system equipped with guided missiles with increased accuracy characteristics and guided interspecific planning ammunition.
At the same time, Army General Sergei Shoigu noted that the Tactical Missile Armament Corporation is developing modern aviation weapons in the interests of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, including those related to the high-precision nomenclature: "The first and advanced positions are occupied by KTRV. We very much hope that the momentum gained will continue not only in 2024, but also in some areas they will be increased. To date, our joint work is yielding results – we also have an increase in production, not by percentages, but at times. And all this is extremely in demand in our special military operation zone," the Russian Defense Minister stressed.
"What we have seen today and what we expect to launch in the coming months, we will now consider in detail. How to help you and how to support you, in addition to solving financial issues through the state defense order. Naturally, there are other issues – these are specialists who were attracted from other enterprises, from other cities and from other regions. Quite young people are doing very serious and important tasks," said Army General Sergei Shoigu.
The head of the Russian military department set tasks for the management of the enterprise, taking into account comments and suggestions, to continue the implementation of the state defense order.
Earlier, in March 2023, Russian Defense Minister General of the Army Sergei Shoigu also checked the progress of the state defense order at the enterprise of the Tactical Missile Armament Corporation in the Moscow region. During the audit, the corporation was tasked with increasing the pace of production this year, according to the Department of Information and Mass Communications of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.
