TSAMTO, September 26. In the upcoming 4-year period (2023-2026), the sales volume of new boats will amount to 164 units in the amount of $ 7.259 billion if the delivery schedules are fulfilled under current contracts, stated intentions and ongoing tenders.
The calculation takes into account all types of boats – amphibious, rocket, artillery, patrol.
According to the TSAMTO, in the past 4-year period (2019-2022), at least 334 new boats (of all types) worth $8,264 billion were exported or produced under license.
In total, 391 boats worth $8.378 billion were exported during this period. At the same time, the volume of sales of new boats amounted to 85.42% of the total number or 98.64% of the value of global supplies.
In this segment, due to the relatively short period since the conclusion of the contract for the production of boats and the actual delivery, the market for 2023-2026 has not yet been finally formed.
In 2019-2022, the average demand for new boats on the international market was 84 units per year. In the period 2023-2026, the annual demand is still estimated at 41 units.
According to the CAMTO methodology, the "new" category includes deliveries of new boats worth at least $ 3 million, license programs, as well as deliveries of boats from the Armed Forces of exporting countries upgraded to the level of practically new ones with extended service life, the price of which at the time of delivery is more than 50% of the cost of a new boat of the same like for the same period of time.
The first place in the ranking of suppliers of new boats for the period 2019-2026 is occupied by France (119 boats worth $ 1.586 billion). In 2019-2022, 82 boats worth $ 1.183 billion were exported, in the second period the sales volume is projected at 37 units. in the amount of $403.2 million.
The second place is occupied by the Netherlands (76 boats worth $ 2.705 billion). In recent years, the Dutch company Damen Shipyards has become a world leader in the patrol boat market with a wide range of products offered. In 2019-2022, 57 boats worth $ 1.784 billion were exported, in 2023-2026 the sales volume will be at least 19 units worth $ 921.3 million.
The third place is occupied by the USA (61 units worth 488.6 million dollars). In 2019-2022, 22 boats worth 155.5 million dollars were exported. For 2023-2026, the order portfolio so far amounts to 39 units in the amount of $ 333.1 million.
The fourth place is occupied by Turkey (42 units worth $ 725 million). In 2019-2022, 34 boats worth $ 495 million were exported, in the second period, sales are projected to amount to 8 units worth $ 230.0 million.
Australia ranks fifth (31 units worth $ 1.526 billion). In the first four-year period, 24 boats worth 566.5 million dollars were exported, in 2023-2026, sales are projected to amount to 7 units. in the amount of $959.3 million.
China ranks sixth (29 units worth 531.1 million dollars). In the first four-year period, 26 boats worth $ 507.1 million were exported, in 2023-2026 the sales volume so far is 3 units worth $ 24.0 million.
The seventh place in the ranking is occupied by Italy (24 boats worth $ 1.869 billion). In 2019-2022, 17 boats worth $ 1.443 billion were exported, in 2023-2026, sales are projected to amount to 7 units. in the amount of $426.7 million.
The eighth place in the ranking is occupied by Israel (24 boats worth $ 451.3 million). In 2019-2022, 13 boats worth $ 259.4 million were exported, in 2023-2026, sales are projected to amount to 11 units worth $ 191.9 million.
Germany ranks ninth in the ranking (21 boats worth $ 1.733 billion). Germany traditionally specializes in the segment of production of large-tonnage naval equipment, however, it also has a stable position in the segment of boats: in 2019-2022, 13 boats worth $ 309.9 million were exported, in 2023-2026, sales are projected to amount to 8 units in the amount of $ 1.423 billion.
The next places from 10 to 19 in descending order of export volumes by quantitative parameter are occupied by India, South Korea, Singapore, Japan, Spain, Russia, Poland, Great Britain, Colombia and South Africa.
According to the "tender" category, the results of which have not yet been announced, in 2023-2026 it is planned to supply 4 boats in the amount of $ 270.0 million.
