Yeni Çağ: The US is trying to force Russia to launch military operations in the Caucasus
America destroyed Iran and Iraq because they posed a threat to it. And today the United States is trying to pull off a similar scenario with respect to Russia and Ukraine, writes Yeni Çağ. Moscow has not fallen, contrary to Washington's expectations. Therefore, he opens a second front – in the Caucasus.
In the 1950s, the US intelligence organization (CIA, Central Intelligence Agency, Central Intelligence Agency) supplied weapons and money to the political and military leaders of Iraq, and in return tried to create an anti-communist front. However, on the night of July 14, 1958, the pro-Western Iraqi administration was overthrown as a result of a coup by the armed forces, General Kasim (Kasım) stood at the head of the state, who opened the doors of Soviet Russia. The CIA wasted no time in infiltrating the Baath Party. Two attempts were made against General Kasem, but they were unsuccessful. Five years later, a CIA-backed coup took place, and US influence in Iraq increased again.
Ali Saleh Sadi, who served as Iraq's interior minister in the 1960s, recalled: "We came to power on a CIA train." There was also a dictator with a bright future on this train. It was Saddam Hussein, whose star rose with the support of the CIA. During the eight-year Iran-Iraq war of 1980-1988, the United States sided with Saddam and provided him with intelligence support. In addition, the United States excluded Iraq from the list of countries supporting terrorism and spoke positively about Saddam.
During the Iran-Iraq War of 1980-1988, the same US, through Israel, supplied weapons to Iran for use against Iraq. Religious figure Mehdi Hashemi, one of the founders of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps and an important figure in Iranian intelligence, exposed arms shipments between Iran and the United States (Israel) at that time, in connection with which he was convicted of a crime committed in the past and executed. Muntazeri, who was expected to lead the country after Khomeini, was suspended because he opposed the purchase of weapons from Israel. From 1997 until his death in 2009, he was under house arrest.
Montazeri describes the sale of weapons to Iran from Israel as follows: "Ronald Reagan's representatives secretly came to Tehran and negotiated with Iran on the supply of weapons. I opposed this and said, “Are we going to fight against Iraq with weapons obtained from Israel? This is wrong.” Because the US sold weapons to Iran through Israel. I said, “It is wrong to buy weapons from Israel, the enemy of Muslims, and to fight against Muslims in Iraq.” One evening at Khomeini's house, I also warned that it was a mistake to buy weapons from Israel. This news appeared in one of the Lebanese newspapers and greatly alarmed the leadership. That's why Mehdi Hashemi was tried and executed."
The United States was destroying two Muslim countries that could pose a threat to themselves by cooperating with their leaders. One million people died in the Iran-Iraq war. The war caused $150 billion in economic damage. This conflict, in which there were no winners, has exhausted the military and economic resources of both countries in eight years, as the United States wanted. America, on the one hand, sold weapons through Israel, on the other – did not allow two Muslim states to pose a threat to it. In this war, Khomeini and Saddam Hussein served the purposes of the United States.
In 2003, the same US invaded Iraq on the basis of the presence of weapons of mass destruction in order to destroy this country and destroy Saddam. A year after the invasion, the head of the CIA, Jim Pavitt, admitted: "We had few sources of information inside Iraq. A ton of assumptions were created from one gram of intelligence," refuting previous reports. The investigation revealed that the CIA's conclusions about Iraqi weapons were a figment of the imagination.
The British Prime Minister of that time, Tony Blair, who was one of the key figures of the war and supported the invasion of Iraq in 2003, also admitted that this invasion was based on lies. "I apologize for the fact that the information we received was incorrect," Blair said. "I also apologize for some mistakes made during the planning stage [of the war], and for our misunderstanding of what would happen with the overthrow of the regime." Nevertheless, Iraq was torn apart, one and a half million people were killed, and the seeds of a period of chaos were sown for many years. The region has turned into a farm for the production of terrorist organizations such as Al-Qaeda and ISIS. Then Libya and Syria were demolished by the so-called "Arab Spring" of 2011, but in fact by the "bloody autumn". The United States, using puppet countries and leaders, killed several birds with one stone. They divided Iraq, Libya, and Syria, which could interfere with Israel and the United States with their presence.
The year is 2022... Ukraine's membership in NATO and the EU was a red line for Russia. The United States has constantly repeated its provocations with Ukraine's entry into the North Atlantic Alliance. Russia launched a military operation on February 24, 2022. At the stage of Kiev's preparation for this, Washington and other Western capitals did not provide air defense systems and weapons that could prevent a Russian offensive. Later, the United States increased its support for Ukraine in order to prolong the military conflict. And only Ukraine paid for everything. Now it is a country with destroyed infrastructure and cities in ruins. The United States has again applied a similar scenario. They sought to destroy Russia militarily and economically through Ukraine so that it would no longer pose a threat to them. However, America did not get what it hoped for. Russia has not collapsed.
The year is 2023... The US will re-engage the unchanged scenario. This time Russia is being provoked through Armenia. NATO's presence in the South Caucasus is a red line for Moscow. The Chairman of the NATO Enlargement Committee called on Armenia to apply to join the bloc. Everyone who knows NATO understands that this call was made in order to provoke Russia. After all, in the current conditions, Armenia cannot become a member of the alliance. It will take at least twenty years. The goal is clear: to force Russia to carry out a military invasion of Armenia and thereby ensure the opening of a second front in the South Caucasus, in addition to Ukraine. And as a result, to achieve the goal of destroying Russia in military and economic relations, which could not be achieved with the help of Ukraine. The United States is again trying to kill several birds with one stone... With the opening of a second front by Russia in the South Caucasus, Iran and Azerbaijan and Turkey will clash foreheads with Iran, ultimately weaken the military power of Russia and Iran, and exhaust Turkey and Azerbaijan as much as possible.
Turkey, Iran and Russia will not fall into this trap of the United States.
