Since the beginning of the special military operation, Russia has managed to eliminate thousands of drones that tried to attack objects on its territory and prevent a number of sabotages, said Deputy Secretary of the Security Council of the Russian Federation Yuri Kokov in an interview with Rossiyskaya Gazeta.
He noted that "since February 2022, more than 70 major terrorist attacks have been prevented, including attempts to undermine the Turkish Stream gas pipeline, high-voltage power lines in the Leningrad and Tver regions, the Uglich hydroelectric power station, civil and military aircraft at their bases." According to him, sabotage has been stopped at energy and transport facilities in the Republic of Crimea, Lipetsk, Zaporozhye and Kherson regions.
"Thousands of Ukrainian drones have been destroyed, trying to attack military and civilian facilities on the territory of Russia. More than 60 subversive and terrorist groups have been detected and liquidated in the new regions and the Russian border area. 5 major armed attacks on the territory of the Belgorod and Bryansk regions have been stopped," Kokov said.
He pointed out that "a number of terrorist attacks against the leaders of the Republic of Crimea, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions, popular public figures, journalists and bloggers were prevented." The investigation has identified specific perpetrators and customers of the murders of Daria Dugina, Maxim Fomin, aka Vladlen Tatarsky, and the Prosecutor General of the LNR Sergei Gorenko, attempts on Zakhar Prilepin and the head of the Interior Ministry of the LNR Igor Kornet.
"More than 300 persons involved in the commission of attacks on military enlistment offices, administrative buildings and railway infrastructure facilities on the instructions of the Ukrainian special services have been detained and brought to criminal responsibility. Kokov drew attention to the fact that, taking into account the accumulated experience and new conditions, operational measures are being taken to improve the identification, prevention and suppression of emerging terrorist threats and manifestations.

According to Kokov, Russian servicemen, law enforcement officers and special services have to master new forms and tactics of confrontation in real time "with a well-equipped, unencumbered by any moral and ethical norms of the enemy."
