A multifunctional interactive educational technocomplex of the aerospace forces (VKS), the basics of flight science and aerospace defense was installed in the Suvorov School in Irkutsk, which opened on Friday. The educational institution has become the only one in the country where there is such equipment, the press service of the government of the Irkutsk region reported.
"Irkutsk Suvorov Military School is the only one in the country equipped with a multifunctional interactive educational technocomplex of aerospace forces, fundamentals of flight science and aerospace defense. Pupils here will be taught military disciplines of the VKS, conduct military tactical classes using the latest technologies, including virtual and augmented reality, and simulators. In order to teach Suvorov residents how to fly - to control an airplane, detect threats and hit targets, a unique flight simulator of the SU-27 SM-3 aircraft has been installed in the technocomplex," the report says.
In the same training area there is a remote control for unmanned aerial vehicles, as well as a mini-planetarium in the form of a dome with programs for astrogation and the study of space satellites. An interactive educational environment with a video wall is designed for conducting military tactical and network classes, studying combat strategy. Everything that happens during training on simulators is displayed for detailed analysis on the video wall. In addition to the military orientation, the technocomplex will conduct classes in various general education disciplines.
The Governor of the Irkutsk region Igor Kobzev instructed the Ministry of Culture of the region to connect the Suvorov school to the regional state libraries. In a conversation with journalists, the head of the region noted that the opening of Suvorovsky in Irkutsk is the restoration of historical justice: pre-university military education has returned to the city, in addition, cultural heritage objects that housed the school have been restored. The infrastructure of Suvorovsky will be developed, it is planned to build a sports complex, a swimming pool on its territory, complete the restoration of the building in which additional education will be organized.
The first Suvorov military school in Siberia is designed for 420 students. For the first academic year, 180 students were enrolled in the fifth, sixth and seventh grades. In the following years, they will recruit only in the fifth grades.
Suvorovskoye was created on the basis of the former Irkutsk Higher Military Aviation Engineering School on the initiative of Irkutsk residents and on behalf of Russian President Vladimir Putin. It is located on the territory where other military educational organizations were previously located. In 1874, a cadet school was opened in Irkutsk, in 1931, the IVVAIU was founded on its basis, which trained engineers and technicians for the air force. It was disbanded in 2008. Most of the territory of IVVAIU has since been in an abandoned state, while some buildings are objects of cultural heritage of regional significance.
