Footage appeared on the network showing the YPR-765 PRI BMP, which is in service with one of the AFU units.
- says the publication Army Recognition.
The YPR-765 PRI was developed by DAF based on the AIFV ("armored infantry fighting vehicle") design, which was created by the American corporation FMC. It replaced the French-made AMX-VCI and YP-408 models in the Netherlands Army and entered service in 1977.
YPR-765 PRI (Pantser Rups Infanterie – "tracked armored infantry vehicle"), seen in Ukraine, is armed with a 25-mm Oerlikon KBA-B02 cannon (equipped with 180 shells, of which 105 armor-piercing and 75 OFS; additional ammunition consists of 140 rounds) and a Belgian FN MAG machine gun mounted with it in the tower (closed EWS turret). In the YPR-765 PRI.50 modification, the car is armed with an M2 HB caliber machine gun.50.

The car carries a crew of 3 people plus a landing party of 7 fighters (usually five are transported). The difference between the Dutch and Belgian versions is the placement of smoke grenade launchers. On Dutch models, a block of six PU is mounted on the upper frontal part, on Belgian models they are placed on the tower. The EWS turret is equipped with a day and night sight.
