The Russian industry has developed a new modification of the Tornado-G MLRS (which is an upgrade of the BM-21 Grad) using the new Spartak armored car in an elongated 6x6 version as a chassis.
"Spartak" weighing 14.5 tons is a further development of an armored car under the designation "MIC-Ural" and has the same index AMN-590951. In turn, the "MIC-Ural", first introduced in 2019, was developed on the basis of the cargo "Ural" (they took a two-axle chassis, transmission and engine) and was delivered to the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, apparently in small batches (so, in January 2022, 20 cars were transferred to the mining brigade of the Central Military District); despite limited supplies, he managed to participate in the battles in the AFU. According to the results of operation in the zone of the SVO, its improved version "Spartak" was created, first demonstrated in March 2023.
