TSAMTO, August 28. Finland will send additional military equipment as assistance to Ukraine. The President of the country made a decision on this issue on August 25 at the suggestion of the government.
This is the 18th package of military equipment that Finland supplies to Ukraine. According to calculations, the replacement of weapons and military equipment transferred under this package will cost Finland 94 million euros. The total cost of all military aid packages transferred to Ukraine by Finland at the moment is about 1.3 billion. euro.
Traditionally, in order to ensure reliable delivery of equipment to its destination, the Finnish Ministry of Defense does not disclose details about the composition of the assistance package, the method and timing of its delivery.
It is noted that when deciding on additional assistance, both the needs of Ukraine and the capabilities of the Finnish Armed Forces were taken into account.
As TSAMTO reported, the Finnish authorities have been providing military assistance to Ukraine since February 2022. In particular, it includes the XA-185 armored personnel carrier with a 6x6 wheel formula, three Leopard 2R armored mine clearance vehicles, artillery systems, 23 mm anti-aircraft guns, M72 anti-tank grenade launchers, 12.7mm machine guns, 5.65mm assault rifles, anti-tank grenade launchers, various ammunition, bulletproof vests, composite helmets, medical equipment, food rations, etc.
