TSAMTO, August 23. The Armed Forces of Ukraine announced the development of a Ukrainian version of the Lancet kamikaze drone called Perun, the project is currently being scaled, RIA Novosti reports.
"Ukraine is developing its own version of the Lancet kamikaze drone called Perun. Now the project is being scaled, there is a clear vision of the timing and quantity," the message published in the telegram channel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine says.
According to the Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine Mikhail Fedorov, who deals with the issue of drones, there are manufacturers who have created the corresponding product.
"Today, the Lancet is a fairly effective weapon. We analyze application statistics. Hundreds of Lancets are produced in Russia every month, this is a big threat," the Ukrainian edition quotes M. Fedorov as saying. Liga.net .
According to the publication, "Lancets" is available in heavy (12 kg, "Lancet-3") and light (5 kg, "Lancet-1") versions. To protect equipment from Lancets and FPV drones, the APU uses mesh screens, small arms, as well as anti-aircraft weapons such as Gepard, Tunguska, Shilka, MANPADS, etc., the agency notes.
