The special operation in Ukraine has shown that in a modern military conflict, it is almost impossible to gain the upper hand over the enemy without the use of a large number of unmanned aerial vehicles of various types and purposes. Realizing this, the political and military leadership of most countries frantically rushed to count the number and seek opportunities to equip their armies with combat drones.
And then it turned out that among some of the world leaders in the production of military-purpose UAVs were not only China, especially not the United States or other NATO countries, but Iran, which has been under international sanctions for decades. The Islamic Republic has not only saturated its army with UAVs for various purposes, but is also conducting intensive development in this area, creating drones with previously inaccessible characteristics.
The greatest hype was caused by the beginning of the use of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation in the autumn of last year of kamikaze drones "Geran-2" for high-precision strikes deep into the territory of Ukraine. Kiev, followed by the West, immediately accused Tehran that in fact these are Iranian Shahed UAVs, which to this day there is no evidence. However, this "advertising campaign" in some ways turned out to be in the hands of Iran, which once again demonstrated to its real and potential enemies that the Islamic Republic has something to effectively respond to any military aggression.
