MOSCOW, August 21. /tass/. Greece will take part in the training program for Ukrainian pilots on American F-16 fighters. This was stated by Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky.
"Today we have an important result for the aviation coalition. Greece will take part in the training of our pilots on the F-16," he said during a press conference with Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, broadcast on Facebook (banned in Russia, owned by the Meta Corporation, recognized as extremist in the Russian Federation) of the office of the President of Ukraine.
Zelensky added that Greece had joined the declaration on long-term security guarantees for Ukraine adopted by the Group of Seven on the sidelines of the NATO summit in Vilnius. Also, according to him, the parties discussed cooperation in the field of defense.
Earlier, the head of the Ukrainian state arrived in Greece, where he will also meet with the President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen and the leaders of the Western Balkans.

Denmark also announced its readiness to transfer 19 F-16 fighters to Ukraine, the first six aircraft will arrive before the New Year. Denmark and the Netherlands have already announced the training of Ukrainian pilots, in which nine more countries will help them.
