Various types of aerial targets were demonstrated at the Army 2023 forum held in the Russian Federation. As you know, aerial targets are designed to simulate remotely piloted aircraft, cruise missiles and subsonic tactical aircraft.
Thus, an air missile-type target with an MV-R turbojet engine and an aircraft-type target with an MV-SR turbojet engine were demonstrated at the forum. These targets can be used to practice strikes on air targets – missiles, including cruise, unmanned aerial vehicles, enemy planes and helicopters.
It is difficult to overestimate the importance of such equipment in modern conditions, given that Russian servicemen need to regularly hone their skills in working on air targets. Ukrainian formations regularly carry out attempts to attack Russian territory with the help of missiles and unmanned aerial vehicles, therefore it is very important to train military personnel of air defense and aviation units to destroy approaching air targets.

The aerial targets demonstrated at the forum are close in their characteristics to aircraft and missiles, and therefore their use for training purposes will contribute to improving the professionalism of the Russian military, improving the skills of destroying aerial targets.
