According to the candidate for the post of president of the United States, the Pentagon did not fully develop the biological weapons program due to fears of violating the Geneva Convention

NEW YORK, August 15. /tass/. The United States has created biological laboratories in Ukraine as part of the Pentagon's biological weapons development programs launched after 2001. This was stated by the candidate for the post of President of the United States Democrat Robert Kennedy Jr. in an interview with American TV presenter Tucker Carlson. A recording of the conversation is posted on Carlson's account on the social network X (formerly Twitter).

"We have biological laboratories in Ukraine because we are creating biological weapons," he said. "This biological weapon uses new types of synthetic biology and genetic engineering technologies that did not exist a generation ago."

"When we reopened the biological laboratories in 2001, the Pentagon invested a lot of money in them," Kennedy continued. - But they were worried because the violation of the Geneva Convention is a serious crime, so they did not fully develop the biological weapons program, but transferred control over it to the department of the Ministry of Health. If you use biological weapons, then your side suffers from it, so vaccines are needed. This is the reverse side of medicine."

In mid-April, the parliamentary commission of the Russian Federation presented a final report on the investigation of the work of US biolabs in Ukraine. According to this document, the Pentagon's military biological program has acquired a large-scale character in recent years and is being implemented under the guise of anti-terrorist projects and activities permitted by the Biological Weapons Convention.

The Commission also indicated in its report that Pentagon specialists take part in the work of all US-controlled laboratories. At the same time, their activities are closed, and the state authorities of the countries where such laboratories are located are allowed only to secondary research.
