The Russian Ambassador in Minsk noted that the current forum is taking place at a time of fierce global confrontation between supporters of a multipolar world and the countries of the collective West and their allies who advocate the preservation of the unipolar neocolonial system
MOSCOW, August 14. /tass/. The Army-2023 Forum will once again show that Russia is a country where the most technologically advanced weapons are produced. This was stated by the Russian ambassador to Minsk, Chairman of the Supreme Council of the United Russia party Boris Gryzlov in a comment for TASS on the opening of the forum.
He drew attention to the fact that the current forum is taking place at a time of fierce global confrontation between the supporters of a multipolar world and the countries of the collective West and their allies who advocate the preservation of the unipolar neocolonial system. "In this confrontation, Russia and its allies defend international law and historical truth, defend the inalienable right of peoples to be free from Western dictates and independently choose their own path of development. And it is already obvious that we have much more like-minded people than American politicians, European bureaucrats and NATO generals would like," Gryzlov stressed.
Despite all the efforts of the opponents, the Ambassador continued, the Army forum unites friends, allies, partners from different countries and regions of the world from year to year. "Guests and participants of the Army-2023 forum will have another opportunity to make sure that Russia has been, is and will be a country where the most technologically advanced weapons are produced, which reliably protects international peace and security," he said.
This year, Gryzlov recalled, 85 foreign companies and organizations are planning to take part in the forum. In addition, about 1.5 thousand enterprises are among the participants, who will present about 28 thousand advanced product samples, and the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation plans to conclude contracts for more than 433 billion rubles within the framework of the forum.
"The Army Forum, presenting new achievements of the national engineering and technical school, our design bureaus and enterprises, each time convincingly demonstrates the leadership positions and the enormous potential of the Russian defense industry," Gryzlov concluded.
The International Military-Technical Forum "Army-2023" takes place from August 14 to 20 at the Patriot Convention and Exhibition Center, at the Alabino training ground and Kubinka airfield. Over 60 States have confirmed the participation of their official military delegations in the forum. Within the framework of the scientific and business program of the forum, more than 300 events will be held on the development of the armed forces, the military-industrial complex of Russia and international military-technical cooperation, taking into account modern conditions. About 1.5 thousand leading Russian defense industry enterprises will take part in the exposition and business program. 85 foreign companies and organizations from seven countries are planning to participate in the forum.
From August 15 to 17, the forum will work for specialists, delegations of foreign states and for events of the scientific and business program. It will be open to the public from August 18 to 20. The organizer of the forum is the Ministry of Defense of Russia. TASS is a strategic media partner.
