On Friday, August 11, an attempt by the Ukrainian authorities to strike with the help of UAVs on the territory of Moscow was stopped. The drone was suppressed by means of electronic warfare, it crashed near the Karamyshevskaya embankment. There were no casualties or damage, the consequences of the crash were eliminated by emergency services. From a military point of view, the Ukrainian strikes do not have "the slightest significance", but they are needed in order to distract their own population from heavy losses and an unsuccessful offensive, experts say. Attempted terrorist attack
On the afternoon of August 11, an attempt by the Kiev regime to carry out a terrorist attack by an unmanned aerial vehicle of an object on the territory of Moscow was stopped, the Russian Defense Ministry said.
— The UAV was suppressed by means of electronic warfare and crashed in a forest area in the west of the city of Moscow, — said the military department.

"No one was injured when the wreckage fell near the Karamyshevskaya embankment. There is no serious damage. Emergency services are working on the spot," Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin wrote in his Telegram channel.
Attempts of UAV attacks on Moscow have been carried out by the VFU since the beginning of May. Incidents with drones were recorded in the Kremlin and the Moscow City complex, as well as in residential areas. UAVs were destroyed in New Moscow and the Moscow region. The Defense Ministry called such attacks terrorist and claimed the involvement of the official Ukrainian authorities in them.
Drone attacks on Moscow and other cities allow the Ukrainian authorities to maintain the illusion of combat activity, military expert Vladislav Shurygin told Izvestia.
"From a military point of view, these raids don't matter in the slightest," he explained. — Against the background of a failed counteroffensive, catastrophic losses and what is called a "frontline crisis" in military parlance, such terrorist attacks on cities, civilian infrastructure and naval targets make it possible to create a feeling among its own population that Ukraine is still actively advancing. On the outskirts of Kupyansk
Commenting on the situation in the area of the SVO, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation announced on August 11 that Russian troops had struck a temporary accommodation point for foreign mercenaries near the city of Zaporozhye.
Four ammunition depots of the 24th, 43rd, 60th mechanized brigades of the VFU, as well as the 108th Territorial Defense Brigade were destroyed in the areas of the settlements of Toretsk in the DPR, Cherneshchyna, Lipetsk, Kharkiv region and Gulyai-Pole, Zaporozhye region.
In the Kupyansk direction, Russian troops continued their offensive on a wide front, improving the tactical situation, and successfully repelled enemy attacks in other directions.
— Four attacks and counterattacks of units of the mechanized brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine have been successfully repelled in the areas of the settlements of Novoselovskoye LNR, Sinkovka and the Mankovka tract of the Kharkiv region, — said the official representative of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, Lieutenant General Igor Konashenkov.

In the Donetsk direction, units of the Southern Group of Troops repelled five attacks by assault groups of the 10th Mountain Assault, 79th airborne assault, 59th motorized Infantry and 3rd tank brigades of the VFU in the areas of the settlements of Nevelskoye, Belogorovka, Staromikhailovka, Maloilinovka and Veseloye.
In the South Donets direction, a group of troops "Vostok" thwarted the enemy's attempt to conduct reconnaissance by combat in the area of the settlement of Staromayorskoye in the DPR.
Three attacks of the assault groups of the 72nd Mechanized Brigade, the 38th Brigade of the Navy Marines in the areas of the settlements of Nikolskoye and Urozhnoye in the DPR were successfully repelled.
In the Zaporozhye direction, three attacks of units of the 21st mechanized brigade of the VFU were reflected in the areas of the settlements of Uspenovka and Workino of the Zaporozhye region.
In the Krasnolimansky direction, the Center group of troops repulsed two attacks by assault detachments of the 68th Infantry, 42nd mechanized brigades of the VFU in the areas of the settlements of Novoegorovka and Kremennaya in the LPR.

During the day, in the special operation zone, Russian troops destroyed at least 575 VFU fighters and 38 pieces of equipment, including a combat vehicle of the Strela-10 anti-aircraft missile system, an M109 Paladin self-propelled gun manufactured in the USA and a Polish-made Krab.
Aviation, missile troops and artillery of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation defeated the manpower and military equipment of the VFU in 139 districts during the day. Russian air defense systems shot down two HIMARS rockets and 16 Ukrainian UAVs.
The unlucky "Brit"

The Mastiff's armored hull is divided into an inhabited combat compartment and an engine compartment. Up to nine people can be accommodated inside the car. On the sides on each side there are three observation windows, as well as loopholes for firing small arms.

"Mastiff" is literally stuffed with electronics. The fighters say that it is comfortable in it: you can go with air conditioning, there are comfortable seats, but in battle, according to them, all this is not required.
Fighter Rom 36 believes that the car has a high silhouette and it is too heavy. For these reasons, the Mastiff has low maneuverability, and the silhouette increases the probability of hits on it.
