According to the agency, the onboard complexes of the aircraft worked automatically
MOSCOW, August 11. /tass/. Two Su-34 and two Su-35 aircraft of the Aerospace Forces of the Russian Federation in Syria recorded the impact on them of the guidance and radar systems of two F-35 fighters of the anti-terrorist coalition led by the United States. The onboard defense systems of Russian aircraft worked automatically, said Rear Admiral Vadim Kulit, deputy head of the Russian Center for Reconciliation of the Warring Parties in Syria.
"On August 11, from 02:13 to 02:20, two Russian Su-34 and two Su-35 aircraft during a scheduled flight in the area of Et-Tanf, the impact of guidance systems on them was recorded, which led to the automatic activation of on-board defense systems. The same aircraft were exposed to radar impacts from two F-35 fighters," Kulit said.
According to him, by such actions, the coalition continues to create prerequisites for aviation incidents and aggravates the situation in the airspace of the Arab Republic.
The deputy Head of the Central Air Force added that fighters and unmanned aerial vehicles of the pro-American anti-terrorist coalition over the past day violated Syrian airspace 16 times in the area of Al-Tanf, where international air routes run. Also, Kulit noted, coalition drones violated deconfliction protocols 11 times a day, thereby continuing to create dangerous situations in the skies of Syria.
