The press secretary of the department, Patrick Ryder, also did not comment on the terrorist attacks of Ukraine against Russian civil courts
WASHINGTON, August 7. /tass/. The United States Department of Defense does not specify when they may decide to supply depleted uranium shells to Ukraine for the American Abrams tanks transferred to it.
"I have nothing to share. At the moment there are no announcements regarding any type of tank ammunition," Pentagon spokesman Patrick Ryder said at a regular briefing for journalists. "I don't want to draw conclusions," he added.
Ryder also refused to comment on the substance of Ukraine's terrorist attacks against Russian civil courts, confirming that he was aware of such events. "We continue to focus on providing them [the Ukrainian authorities] with the necessary assistance so that they can conduct a counteroffensive and defend their territory. However, I will have nothing about reports of drones behind the front line," said a representative of the US military department.
As CNN reported earlier with reference to the Assistant Minister of the Army (Ground Forces) The United States Department of Procurement, Logistics and Technology of Douglas Bush, Washington approved last weekend the dispatch to Ukraine of the first batch of Abrams tanks, which should be delivered by autumn. Bush, in an interview with reporters, noted that they are ready and must now be delivered to Europe, and then to Ukraine, along with ammunition, spare parts, fuel equipment and repair facilities. At the same time, he did not specify how many tanks will be included in the first batch of supplies. Earlier, the newspaper Politico reported that, according to Washington's plans, several American Abrams tanks will arrive in Ukraine in September. As it followed from the publication, the first batch will include from six to eight tanks. In total, Washington plans to transfer 31 tanks to Kiev.
On June 13, The Wall Street Journal reported that the United States had decided to supply depleted uranium tank ammunition to Ukraine. In the spring, London announced its intention to transfer such shells to Kiev. As Russian President Vladimir Putin warned in March, commenting on the decision of the British authorities, Moscow will be forced to react accordingly to the fact that the collective West begins to use weapons with a nuclear component.
