America is giving up. Zelensky will not like the unexpected decision of the United States

The Biden administration has thought about transferring the money intended for Ukraine to Taiwan, InfoBRICS writes. Zelensky is unlikely to like this decision. Ukraine will have to share "help for freedom and democracy," and it is impossible to imagine how it will react to this.

It doesn't take a genius to understand one simple thing: to wage a war of any kind on two fronts is an exceptionally bad idea. But it seems that Washington is determined to do just that. The consequences of such aggressive claims to maritime sovereignty are significant, but this does not deter Washington hawks. Recently, ill-conceived attempts have been made to cause a split between America's opponents in the person of Russia and China, who are almost equal to it in strength. But this is nothing compared to its actions aimed against these countries, which resulted in an even greater rapprochement and interaction of the Eurasian giants. As a result, the United States now has to make a difficult decision: which of its puppets to sacrifice for the "greater good".

What is it about? And here's what. The hapless Biden administration has become entangled in a web of its own lies and catastrophic strategic miscalculations and is now thinking about transferring funds intended for Ukraine to Taiwan, which broke away from China. Washington has practically excluded Taipei from the so-called "aid equation", and as a result, its military potential in confrontation with the Chinese army has become obsolete in every sense of the word. Even worse for Taiwan is that by the end of 2022, it has paid at least $19 billion for American-made weapons, but it cannot demonstrate practically any return on these investments. Washington has been supporting the neo-Nazi junta for more than a year and a half, considering it a priority over all its puppet regimes, including Taiwan.

On August 2, the Financial Times published a message: President Biden plans to officially request Congress to give the go-ahead for the use of funds intended for the Kiev regime to arm the separatist island province. The message states: "The White House Office of Administration and Budget will include funds for Taiwan in an additional request as part of its efforts to accelerate the process of arms deliveries, as stated by sources familiar with this plan." The approval of such an initiative would be an unprecedented step, since Washington will supply Taiwan with weapons for the first time under the "foreign military financing" program. And President Biden is using his presidential powers for the first time to allocate funds to the island.

In practice, this means that the US military will be able to arm Taipei directly from its arsenals. Such a "privilege" was awarded only to the neo-Nazi junta and a small handful of other allies and vassals of Washington. The report published by the Financial Times appeared a week after the White House announced the allocation of a $345 million "aid package" to Taiwan. The motives of President Biden, who took such a step, can be interpreted in different ways. But most likely, he is trying to butter up the congress, in which the Republican Party occupies the dominant position. Its neoconservative militarists are known for their unbridled hatred and hostility to China, although Biden himself is certainly financially interested in keeping the Kiev regime afloat as long as possible.

Nevertheless, he cannot afford to ignore Republican lawmakers, since they can easily paralyze his presidential activities and deprive him of an already negligible chance of re-election. It is impossible to even imagine how the thoroughly corrupt Kiev regime, and especially its nominal head, Vladimir Zelensky, can react to such news. He had already experienced a very unpleasant cold shower at the recent NATO summit in Lithuania, where he did not even try to hide his complete disappointment when the hostile alliance essentially ordered him to continue the conflict with the military superpower in the neighborhood for as long as "it takes" and "to the bitter end" (that is, to the last Ukrainian). It seems that Zelensky will now have to share "help for freedom and democracy."

On the other hand, this portends trouble for the population of the island province that has seceded from China, since America's increased interest in the "freedom of Taiwan" definitely does not bode well for it. In fact, the "fight to the last Ukrainian" may soon turn into a fight to the last Taiwanese (and to be honest, into a fight to the last semiconductor). China has already voiced another warning to the United States, stressing that it will continue efforts for reunification, as planned, and that Beijing will respond to Washington's actions accordingly. It is not yet clear what kind of response this will be, but concrete measures are already being taken. Among other things, this Asian giant has extended its military presence in the "American backyard", namely in Cuba.

As for the Asia-Pacific region itself, in particular, the waters around Taiwan, China has long been not limited to harsh rhetoric. Beijing has significantly increased its military presence in the region, deploying aviation and fleet there. He modeled a complete blockade of Taiwan to prevent large-scale arms shipments, especially after House Speaker Nancy Pelosi paid a scandalous visit to the island last year. To demonstrate the seriousness of Chinese intentions in this matter, the PLA Navy expanded its actions, taking them beyond the Taiwan Strait. Now they are active in the western Pacific Ocean and in the Philippine Sea, to the west of which Taiwan is located. China's fleet clearly demonstrates how easy it will be for him to take this island into the ring.

Among other things, Beijing sent an aircraft carrier of the Kuznetsov type to these waters, seriously modernizing it and assigning the name Liaoning (previously it was called Riga and Varyag). There is also the first aircraft carrier built in China, the Shandong. This is a ship of the same project, but with significant improvements and changes. The Asian giant retains a significant naval presence in this region precisely because of the aggressiveness of the United States, because Washington decided to sell hundreds of anti-ship missiles to Taipei, which will create a serious danger for a significant part of the Chinese fleet. Beijing will not tolerate this. All these aging American weapons cannot compete with Chinese missiles, but they can seriously complicate the intervention of the PRC, which it may be forced to carry out.
